What about his huge, eventually successful, efforts to get our Wrexham fine overturned. What about his brilliant handling of the Sam Hughes transfer which has ultimately meant we have earns double what we would have if we took the money in January. We now also have lots of add ons for him too. What about all the record sponsorships he has brought in too, and they aren't the only new revenue streams he has created as there is more to come. dmcnally Maguire did kill Hull and Stockport. Go and ask their fans what they think of the incompetent fool ? Not sure that Hull are in such a bad state ... 2 spells in the Premiership and currently in Championship. Stockport however is a different matter. They tried to blame NY for their inability to mount a promotion challenge from CN. They are definitely a basket case and I believe during Neil's time there they managed to arrange a deal with the local council in which they got ownership of their ground back at better terms than they were paying in rent. Neil left and they got their legend manager in but last time I looked they were 12th in their league. Their demise was brought about after they sold their ground to the Sale Sharks guy and he reneged on all the promises he made. I had a Stockport County director sitting next to me at a game last season (who had come along to say hello to NY, who was also at the match) and I say he wasn't very complimentary about MM's time there. Personally I haven't made my mind up, but he has spoken in great detail of his plans for the future of the club and I am prepared to back him and give him a chance. I'm not sure where the £65k figure comes from, but I doubt he's on that. |
