Doesn't sound like we're playing well at all, sadly. Let's hope it improves. First half has been the case of 2nd best. Woking are solid, quick and organised. We’ve had a few chances but in all honesty Woking are by far the better team. Gonna be some team talk to wake the lads up.

They've been more composed on the ball. We've been too error prone, yet have made most the chances. Cracking header for their goal tbf

0-2 Game over. This season's going to be one long struggle. We hit the post twice and had a few decent chances before gifting them a second. We'll lose this but there are a few reasons to be encouraged.

Sounds a really daft goal to concede, especially when we were building real pressure.
Positives to take, Rome wasn't built in a day etc.
Onto Prenton Park.

Absolutely no positives to take whatsoever. Absolute abject performance. We had nothing and sheer lack of being able to hold the ball and pick a pass put us under pressure. Yep they were good and pressed hard, but we’re gifting them the ball back in good positions. One of the worst performances Iv seen at home. Bignots got a job on his hands otherwise we’re going down.

Agreed ..... no positives at all for me. Some dreadful performances tonight as bad a Dover. Dawson, Halls , Mahon, Shaw, Akintunde, Hannah, Davies were all shite. I thought after the last home game we were ok. We're a shambles and will go down unless he can ship out all the deadwood.

We have got Jon McCarthy to thank for that, he's the gift that keeps on giving. Building such an unbalanced squad meant that if our only winger gets injured then we have no width to bring on. We were left with Davies, who is woefully out of his depth at this level and I've still no idea if there is any position on a football pitch actually suits him. How did he get an extra year? Then we have no competition or cover for any of our defenders should they get injured or just need some competition. Also it's yet another team than are miles fitter and sharper than us.....what did we do in pre season?
We started slow and paid the price. Woking looked far superior in possession although we were getting to grips with them a bit by the end of the first half. 2nd half Woking were quicker out of the blocks again but we came into it and looked like we could score. Astles hits the post and we are all set for a great last 20 mins where we had every chance of getting one back but then Halls completely kills us by selling Lynch short on a back pass. Game over.
Halls should be embarrassed to pick up a pay packet after that dogshit performance tonight. He has been inept all season. He is poor at defending, has no composure, and no wonder all he does is hoof is because his distribution when he does try and pass is amongst the worst I've seen at this level. I'd seriously rather have Higgins who was dreadful but at least he could give us a bit of energy getting forward. But he has no competition for his place so we are stuck with him. He couldn't have been this bad at Macc surely? He was their captain and seemed well thought of in a team that did pretty well. Askey is a genius it seems.
Marcus probably realises what a big job he has on his hands tonight. A small, unbalanced squad which is unlikely to change unless we have a have decent run in the cup to allow us to strengthen. But with Torquay getting those sort of results I worry whether we will be cut adrift come January.
We were all frustrated tonight but who on earth is that strange chap on the terrace who seems to squeal "every balls a chester ball" on loop? He was berating Rowe Turner for being lazy.......Christ he was the only only getting down the flanks! Then he was yelling at Davies calling him a prick. I know Davies is poor but seriously what good is it abusing a young lad who is struggling? Don't understand the mindset of people at times.
A word on Woking, who were a well drilled team who has terrific movement and passed the ball really well. Even though we had some chances, I always felt like we were just trying to counter attack whereas they controlled the majority of possession. It was all a bit McCarthy.

Halls seems to be playing really poorly at the moment. Macc fans warned us about him, they weren't lying that's for sure. We looked so slow tonight, lethargic and to be honest just generally unfit, Woking were fast and zippy and kept it up for 90 minutes. Funnily enough a game against a slow and lumpy Tranmere on Saturday might actually suit us better. Strange really as the Woking I watched on Saturday looked nothing like the side they were tonight. Stopped our full backs getting forward and marked Dawson out of the game. As it happens we had the best chances but make no mistake Woking were by far the superior side.

I think Bignot can now see that he has a job on his hands and at times we were a little unlucky - the one that hit the post - if that goes in it would have been interesting, Instead we go down our own end and gift them a goal. You're right about them being fitter as well. Lynch is way too porky. I also agree with your comments on Davies. Abusing the lad is pretty counterproductive but he is painfully out of his depth - at least Marcus will know that for sure now. What the hell was Macca thinking giving him a full year. Farcical. Cupe run essential now and the game v Kiddie is a big one for us for many reasons.

Abject performance to say the least. Gave the ball away on numerous occasions and disjointed.
Liam Davies is not fit to wear the shirt. Marty Waters is a hundred times the player that this joker is. Bin him off asap. Dawson thinks we play in yellow and Shaw is just not match fit. Halls is making Higgins look like Cafu. The second goal was park football standard as well. Waste of an evening watching that junk!

We will have a real struggle to stay up. Bignot has got a massive job on his hands. We were 2nd best all over the park and a shocking mistake by Halls, killed the game off. I would seriously consider playing Ben Jones, instead. Also, Hannah was terrible. The problem with Hannah is that if he is not scoring his all round play is not good enough. He is unable to hold the ball up. Sick of seeing the ball played in his direction and constantly coming back, at us. Where is White? Unless Bignott can wheel and deal and ship a few out. we will go down. Not enough quality or fight, in this team.

Completely outclassed. Why do we always look much slower and not as fit as the opposition. Bignot has a hell of a job on his hands to keep this lot in the league. He has to start with the basics: get them fit, teach them how to pass a ball to a team-mate and instill some fire in their bellies to go into a tackle and actually win the ball. We might then stand a chance.

On what I'm reading it seems that the cup is going to be big for us this season. We could really do with the £ to strengthen this side. Si you worry that we may be cut adrift by the New Year. The bottom five are starting to get cut adrift now. You are perfectly correct in pointing out how far backwards we have gone under JM. It frustrates the hell out of me when you see Macc assemble a side over the summer on similar resources to us and look at them.

Surprised it's taken this long for people to notice - Andy Halls has been woeful all season, tonight wasn't a one off - he needs dropping and very quickly.
As for Liam Davies - the idea that people at the club chose to use precious funds to extend his contract by 6 months during pre-season because they thought he could be the next under-24 player we can sell for big money is embarrassingly laughable.
