Three things that are driving me round the bend listening to the commentary, poor defending by Chester, ball given away and the worst one Hannah offside yet again😡

We've had two or three half chances and should have equalised when their keeper was completely out of position and out shot headed off the line We are the lowest scores for a reason and that was with three goals in one game, throw in this dog defence we are always going to struggle.

Few shocks so far in the Cup, Ebbsfleet are beating Doncaster 2-0, Barnet are 1 up against Blackburn and Maidestone are beating Cheltenham.

We're fast approached "conceding time".

Goal mouth scramble from a Chester corner. Again should be a goal. Clearance falls kindly for Eastleigh player who is fouled by RHJ who takes one for the team. Booked.

Massive massive chance for James at the end of the first half, cross is met by Kingsley who sidefoots inches wide.

James puts a volley wide from 5 yds on stroke of half time. We should be leading on balance of chances.

A sorry statistic is that the goalkeeper we've just signed has scored as many goals as Bell this season, and more than White!

Have we got through added time without conceding another?

So the first half is a story of sloppy defending and missed chances. We can't keep going to places, creating chances and getting beat - particularly when we have the defence that we do.

Have we got through added time without conceding another? Yes and should have scored one ourselves. Sitter.

It's got 3-0 written all over it. Second half we will not create the chances to miss.

We are quite competitive if you exclude the 5 minute spells at the beginning and end of each half.

Allegedly a lot of work has taken place on the pitch since our postponement. Desperately need a result today. We can't keep narrowly losing and talking about being unlucky. Coming to a point where we are going to start needing to average 1.3 points per game to stay up. To get 1.3 per game we're looking at a W1/D1/L1 type of scenario within a 3 game group. Problem is that we need this sort of return in EVERY 3 game group for the rest of the season i.e something like W9-D9-L10 between now and April. Beginning to look a bit of a tall order. Then again, stranger things have happened and a decent run can sometimes come out of the blue but you have to feel that a couple of wins, not draws, are now essential if we're not to be doomed. Would like to see us going for it 2nd half, a heavy defeat is no different really from an narrow defeat in points terms, goal difference should be a secondary issue at the moment. Still hopeful though

I think the problem with this team is mostly mentality. Playing much better under Bignot, but McCarthy's tail between your legs mentality still remains. We let in silly goals at silly times and don't believe we're going to win.

Still hopeful though So far under Bignot we have averaged just under 1.2 points per game which will be down to 1 point per game if this result continues this way. On that basis we are currently looking at 44 points come the seasons end, which wouldn't be enough.

No sign of this full time training making a blind bit of difference at the moment. Those at the club who allowed McCarthy to stick about and blow the best budget since we reformed should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.
