FULL TIME Eastleigh 2-2 Chester, great fightback but need to score those goals without gifting goals beforehand... all in all a good point... onto the goats

Fair play for being 2 down and getting a point. Chances creating are encouraging but I think we'll run out of games.

Sounds like we played well for the majority of that game but sloppy goals conceded again have cost us a shot at 3 points. Still a point can't be sniffed at from 2 down. 3 points on Wednesday would be massive!

Point isn't a bad result and fantastic for team spirit to come back like that, but it sounds like we really should have won that game comfortably.
Delighted with the upturn in performances, Bignot deserves a lot of credit. I'm sure we'll turn it into wins soon, starting on Wednesday.

A decent point and one I would have gladly taken when we were 2-0 down. What was wrong with Zanzola? Is he injured? Personally, I think we will wait a long time for Hannah to hit a run of goal scoring form. If he is going to go 4-3-3. It would be Archer, Akintude and Bell , for me.

Fair play for being 2 down and getting a point. Chances creating are encouraging but I think we'll run out of games. We are always going to be chasing our tails unfortunately, a bit like Halifax and York over previous seasons. If we run out of games it will be down to previous factors. Bignot's form is pretty much midtable since he arrived and considering the dross that was brought in that's not to shabby. Although we badly need a centre back and a winger.

What we need more than anything else is a couple of back to back wins. We have certainly become a lot harder to beat, with Bignot, in charge.

We don't make it easy for ourselves do we, but that's a good point. I think we all winced a bit at that lopsided lineup and from 2-0 down it shows character.

Great point. Astles held the defence together well today so much improved by him, but more like the Astles of last season. I always look at him and wonder what a player we could have with more dietary and physical dedication to the game. Good fightback, only shame is that game was there for the taking today easily.

I may be wrong, but I an sensing that this fight back together with overall performances over the last three games, is showing the tide is beginning to turn after months of McCarthy negativity and ineptitude. Together with some good recruits, Bignot looks as if he has successfully imposed himself on the poor squad left by his predecessor, and thankfully seems to have improved the attitudes of certain players since the Kiddy game. Significant improvements are still needed, and some players need shipping out, to strengthen the defence (replace McCombe - I’ve seen oil tankers turn quicker) and a wide player with pace is desperately needed.

Very unlucky not to win. Could have been 5 - 2 on another day. We dominated. I like our attacking intent though leaves us exposed at the back. Very enjoyable game though a little frustrating not to get 3 points we deserved

What a game that turned out to be. A late head from the big man and a fully deserved point. We could have had all 3 but a point away from home is always good. At the start we started slowly, but we soon got into the game and played some decent football. Eastleigh weren’t any good at all. They were shell shocked when we equalised and attempted to waste time until that point. Credit to the lads who didn’t give up the fight, which was rewarded in the end. I liked the fact that we were pushing up the pitch, instead of saying deep along with pressing their ‘keeper and defenders to put them under pressure. Marcus Bignot is slowly improving us, along with scoring late goals. Also I think that we are becoming tougher to beat as well. Onto the big one on Wednesday, and I am quietly confident that we can do them. Come On You Blues!

On a lighter note , Rio , if you do start the thread for the Wrexham game - can you not predict a win -LOL well done to all who went and listening to it there seems a spirit that did not exist before - that might make the difference at the end of the season

There is a bug going round the players so 2 or 3 have had to miss the past few days of training. Not what we need going into some huge games, including the big one on Wednesday...

I suggest that nobody leaves our games early at the moment! A good point given the circumstances, but disappointed not to win it on the balance of play.

Stand by for the Eastleigh winner... Don't Ha ha! Some character shown today which is a measure of the impact of Bignot. Good point - back to back wins are what we need at some stage though. Wednesday is a must not lose game.

It was an odd game, both teams were very similar, played it on the deck passed it around comfortably but with limited movement. It was like a chess game being played out. Eastleigh were narrow and we should have got it wide more because when we did, their full backs were easily passed, especially the rightback, and we caused them all sorts of trouble. A fair result, think we edged it in terms of chances. I am not convinced by Mitchell.
