If you quote someone, you can just quote a section of what they say. You could in theory completely change what they say, although it's a bit unkind to do so. Your post hasn't been edited though. It's just his quote of it that's different.

I don't think it's unkind. I think he's not right in the head. I come on here the same as every body else to fill a bit of time and a bit of a natter. Why would any body change a quote. Something seriously wrong with this guy. So let me just get this correct - just a handful of hours ago you were moaning about people using the term 'idiot' and yet here you are making a claim that a fellow poster is "not right in the head". Absolutely mind-warping levels of hypocrisy.

I see the cleaners have been busy tidying up the mess a certain poster left last night. As Deva Chanter said, the mask certainly did slip and what was revealed was something not very nice at all.

Saint Ian h bock. So my mask slipped. You and your chums obviously do not want any body with different opinions than yourselves on here. As a group of people you come over as a rather superior school bullies. Correcting spelling mistakes. Pushing your opinions. Oh and never wrong. Tell me if you think I am wrong about the guy who lives in sychden. His posts are littered with comments such as bastard tory. Rich capitalist xxx bastard millionaires. If that is not jealousy I don't know what is. He is obviously not happy with his back room clerical job. Otherwise he would not pretend to be front line NHS. Rather than moan about it change your job it's not difficult. I should not have said he's not right in the head but he certainly needs help with his obsession with the Labour Party and hatred of anybody with a few Bob, unless they belong to the Labour Party.when I first came on here I thought it's a bit of fun but how wrong could I have been. Just to round things of I have actually voted for more winning Labour governments than I would admit to. But have regretted my choice every time.

I just believe that we shouldnāt have billionaires who serve no real purpose and pay no taxes when we have FOUR MILLION children (almost 1/3 of all children, about nine per average classroom) living in poverty. If you think thereās nothing wrong with that then it says more about you than it does about me. Your past comments have included branding the working poor as scroungers who spend their money on booze. I am quite content that my moral compass is considerably better placed than yours. I quite like my job in the NHS too, as it involves helping people who need it - an idea that I appreciate is alien to you and you have proven your self-centred āIām alright Jackā attitude on countless occasions here. I made an error in referring to myself as āfrontlineā when I should have said ākey workerā - I was trying to make the point that all NHS staff are needed during the pandemic and all NHS staff regardless of their specific role are key workers whether you think certain roles are worthless or not. Again, Iām happy with my moral compass - I donāt look down my nose at certain low paid (not low skilled) workers because of the work they do. If thereāsanything this pandemic has proven its that the country needs more cleaners and nurses than it does investment bankers. With regards the Labour Party I am very much concerned with the direction in which it is heading now, no real oppostion to this callous Tory bastard government. Yes, I refer to them as Tory bastards as you pointed out. With the astonishing contempt they demonstrate for most of the population of this country, committing social cleansing for the past decade and accelerating the laundering of public funds to private capital on an industrial scale, then yes they are absolute bastards.

You clearly despise anybody you believe has less money than you and view them as your social inferiors. Your choice of language is also telling; you refer to people who disagree with you as ālittle manā much like Derry Blue did. He was another one with an identical superiority complex. Considering you have come from humble beginnings, as you claim, your values have become rather skewed in later life and looking down your nose at people with less material wealth than you is not an attractive trait.

Just to pick you up on this bit in particular, what do you base this claim on? When is your last experience of changing job?
Particularly since the last recession, it has become incredibly difficult for many people to find worthwhile employment, let alone change jobs. Especially if they're young and have little experience. In 2013, 1,700 applied for eight barista positions at Starbucks.
In terms of employment opportunities, this place is an absolute dump I'm afraid, and it's only going to get worse post-Covid and post-Brexit.

Just put a few things straight before I get on with my fishing. My choice of language who calls me pal and fella. Who signs of there posts with kisses. At 6ft 4 tall most people are little. As for having a few Bob I live on the state pension I am frugal and also mean with my money. What I did have when I retired was a fair bit of savings no debt at all So after 51 years of work 28 of it manual I think I am entitled to a bit of life.i have never been a big drinker can take it or leave it so I don't factor that in to my life. I have lived and worked through 2 recessions. I would jack a job in to walk across the road for a few Bob more. I had no loyalty to anybody except me and my family. There is work OK not at this moment with covid. I know for a fact the construction industry is crying out for people of all skills and its highly paid. But nobody seems to want it. I don't look down my nose at anybody. I'm just me not the worst or the best just making my way in life the best I can. The end

i do hope that is meant for everybody Exactly right! I will always defend everybody's right to disagree with everybody else, BUT it has to be done in a way that is not offensive or demeaning to anybody. If it is done in that way, and that includes offensive language, it has no place on a forum that supports "OUR club"!!

I see top Brexshitter Jim Ratcliffe, of Ineos infamy, is now building his factory making the Grenadier 4x4 vehicles in France, not Wales. This comes after he moved himself to Monaco so he doesnāt have to pay UK taxes. Another plastic patriot who took the Little Englanders for a ride. Bet heās sat in the French Riviera laughing his head off at you all.

Now the pubs are back open itās no surprise that thereās been a spike in racist/xenophobic attacks.
A woman in Bristol was attacked by another woman (who has now rightly lost her job) for āspeaking Polish too loudlyā and a mixed race family were verbally abused, threatened and met with chants of āWhite lives matterā in a pub in Leek.
The chain of both pubs? JD Wetherspoons.

Looking at the āGet Ready for Brexshitā stuff being released by the Government it looks like everything that was dismissed as āProject Fearā is now a reality. This country is an absolute embarrassment, brought down by the hubris of the boomer Little Englanders. Ironic that the greatest generation gave birth to the worst.

Cornwall are appealing the government to cover the Ā£700m shortfall theyāll lose in EU funding, which was granted to the region because it is one of the most deprived areas in Europe.
The money was used to fund projects intended to increase tourism to the area, including the Eden Project, a tourist destination which boosted the economy by Ā£1.7bn. It also covered the cost of a new airport terminal and other facilities, a local university, superfast broadband and a business start-up fund, among other things.
Cornwall voted to LEAVE the EU in 2016.
Meanwhile, the people of Ashford in Kent are irate that their little town on the border of the Kent Downs will be turned into a giant lorry park as part of the governments new Brexit border plans.
Ashford voted LEAVE in 2016 and then elected a Tory MP on a āget Brexit doneā mandate, they constantly keep telling us they knew what they were voting for and that all the bad consequences of Brexit are worth it. So surely they ought to be happy as theyāre getting exactly what they voted for?

It's what a lot of people from deprived and forgotten areas didn't seem to consider when lashing out at the EU.
The whole "we want our sovereignty back" thing only works if you trust your own government. Liverpool is a rare example of a city that seems to understand that they've had more help from the EU in recent years than a lifetime of Conservative governments will give them.
