Starmer’s Labour are absolutely haemorrhaging members and are 10 points behind in the polls against the worst government in living memory, one which has handled the pandemic so well it’s killed 60,000 of its own people. Jeremy Corbyn was the most popular Labour leader in modern voting history. Even with the chicken coup, Brexit and a media smear campaign. Votes in English constituencies: 2017 - Corbyn 11.4m 1997 - Blair 11.3m 1992 - Kinnock 9.6m 2019 - Corbyn 9.2m 2001 - Blair 9.1m 2015 - Miliband 8.1m 2005 - Blair 8.0m 1987 - Kinnock 8.0m 2010 - Brown 7.0m 1983 - Foot 6.9m Starmer has to go, any other leader would be 20 points ahead in the polls. Crikey. Not very good at this politics malarkey are you? Bring back the fella who handed the Tories everything on a plate and was also investigated by the ECHR for good measure. Let’s face facts, Corbyn was an unelectable moron. Let it go. To be fair, it's others that keep bringing Corbyn up. Seems like rather than talk about the disastrous government we actually have, some people would rather continue to dig up dirt about a man who is now just MP for Islington North.
I still wish he was Labour leader and people had voted for him. I can accept they didn't and will move on, but if people are going to keep sticking the boot in, I'll keep sticking up for him.

That’s not the European Convention on Human Rights though is it? Don’t tell me you mixed up the ECHR with the EHRC?! First rule of debate is to know what you’re talking about. Apologies for the typo. I was present for the last post but I don’t think I was actually involved.

Imagine - in the same post trying to lecture you on 'facts' too. You couldn't write this stuff. Not only did he/she get the body wrong, but quite clearly it's an investigation into the Labour Party, not Jeremy Corbyn. But it really is delightful to see he's still living rent-free in the heads of scabs.

I wish you well in dismantling the Labour Party and giving the Tories carte Blanche to destroy the people you purport to care about. Sure it’ll end well. Sadly I want a fair, electable Labour government. Haven’t drank the kool aid lads but can see it’s brought utter success over the 5 years you had. Congrats.

The thing is, this Labour Party seems to have no intention of “making a difference” - what’s the point in voting for a Party that offers no real political alternative to the current incumbents apart from the people in the suits/dresses? Two sides of the same coin.

I've long thought the ambiguity over what we should and shouldn't do, from day one, is not incompetence but a deliberate ploy so that ordinary people can be blamed for it going wrong.
Matt Hancock was straight in there the other day, blaming families not social distancing when they meet up for the delay in easing lockdown. What is he basing this on? Does he even have evidence that they're not?
I don't understand the passive nature of this country. We should all be absolutely furious at this government.

Listen you can keep making statements like that all you want but I want you to help me out here, help me understand where you’re coming from. It’s why I asked. That’s how to debate properly. If you think I am being ignorant it will help me if you tell me why I’m being ignorant! All I can see is you calling a lifelong anti-racist campaigner a racist and I would like you to help me understand why you come to that conclusion. There’s clearly something he has done or said that I don’t know about so tell me what it is!

Liverpool with their Suarez t-shirts on would be a more accurate representation of Corbyn’s Labour Party. It was a bit facetious, but you seem to be suggesting that people should sell out their beliefs and get behind something they don't believe in. I'd say the opposite - keep believing it and try to convince others. Political landscapes change. I already sense that some people who dismissed Corbyn eight months ago are starting to soften their views and think that maybe a kinder and more compassionate form of politics might not have been a bad thing.

If starmer is still leader of the Labour Party when the general election comes around, will you be voting labour? It really depends on the policies. So far all the talk from this Labour demonstrates it’ll be “more of the same” no matter whixh of the two main parties wins the next GE. This Labour have shown already to be on the side of dodgy landlords against furloughed tenants and on the side of the government against teachers who rightly don’t want to work in unsafe conditions (Starmer sacked his Shadow Education Sec over it!). The reason why most of the 2017 and 2019 manifestos were so popular with over 10 million people was because they offered hope for real meaningful change for the working class. I don’t think an actual Knight of the Realm who champions a Second EU Referendum and who is agreeing with the government on almost everything as tens of thousands die will provide that change.
