Only 3 months until the dream of Brexit gets crushed by economic realitg. Cant wait. No compremise with the EU. A no deal Brexit all the way Covid plus Brexit should destroy the economy and take the Tories down with it One is a natural disaster and the other entirely self inflicted. No deal brexit all the way, really ?, Barnier is staying on in the uk this week trying to thrash out a deal I work in the motor trade for a large EU car manufacturer, here is some economic reality for you Car registrations for THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2020 for selected EU manufacturers, AUDI 21,893 BMW 21,255 MERCEDES 23,522 PEUGEOT 10, 513 RENAULT 10,454 VW 27,328 Thats over 100,00 cars imported into the UK in just one month from just 6 manufacturers in the EU Do you seriously think that the likes of BMW and VW will allow a no deal brexit to affect that level of business and financial turnover ? Do you think the supermarket giants will accept a restriction on the flow of goods from the EU to affect their business ? Will French fishermen be willing to accept that they will no longer be allowed access to UK waters and fish stocks ? The uk was given a referendum on leaving or staying in the EU We chose to leave We had a general election, the conservatives had a "get Brexit done" message, they won that democratic election by a 80 seat majority We are leaving the EU, things will be different, but that is all it will be, different, get over it and make the best of it , I know I will And with UK car registrations at an all time low too!! Those figures are way over inflated as the EU manufacturers have mass imported and registered before the tariffs kick in.They did it last year too before all of the extensions.

Sadly the people of England have no problem with electing racist xenophobes - the country has become a cesspit for it since the summer of 2016 culminating in the December 2019 GE outcome as Joe Bloggs feels empowered to say anything he likes about anybody. Can’t blame him, the people who run the country encourage it.
Can’t wait for Welsh independence - hope it happens in my lifetime.

My wife was born in Wales and has lived all her life in Wales. Whilst working for the Labour Party in Carmarthenshire the local police insisted she had a police escort from an election count because they were worried about what the local Plaid Cymru activists were threatening to do ! Nationalism is ALWAYS a bad thing in politics. A right wing doctrine that tries to attract votes from ordinary people by pretending to have left of centre values.

Scottish people have a limited xenophobia, they like everyone apart from the English😀.

The state of Hancock and Rees-Mogg trying to make out that we're rolling out the vaccine first because of Brexit. They know that's bollocks. A shameful attempt to credit their own backwards politics rather than our own brilliant scientists and medics.

At no point since 2016 has Brexit been under any kind of control.
But we do now need to move on from the whole Remainer/Brexiteer thing and simply pressure the government into making a success of it, whether you voted for it or not - in fact especially if you voted for it. There is absolutely no excuse for them messing it up now, and nobody to blame but themselves.

I for one will not move on until Brexit is reversed and we have another vote.* The Tory right banged on about it for 40 years) Brexit will not be a success and we will probably be begging to join the custom union and single market, within 5 years. I want no deal, just so Brexit is smashed to pieces by economic reality and the ' red wall' learn the hard way the consequences of voting Tory and for a Tory Brexit. We are the only country that has started off with a free trade agreement and has put trade restrictions and tariffs, on itself That takes world class levels of incompetence and stupidity

I see Ineos owner and billionaire Brexit backer Jim Ratcliffe has announced he plans to build the new Grenadier car in Hambach, France, shutting the Bridgend plant. As well as voting Brexshit, those people returned a Tory MP in 2019. Harsh lesson for those who indulge in fantasy politics.

I'm not convinced Boris Johnson even wants a deal, personally. That’s obvious, when you consider over EIGHT BILLION POUNDS of aggregate short positions on a “no deal Brexit” have been taken out by hedge funds that funded both Johnson’s leadership campaign in 2017 and also Vote Leave in 2016.

We survived the Blitz and Dunkirk So, we can survive this. Except the generation that did survive it voted to join Europe, in 1972 , because they saw the destruction that rampant Nationalism can cause.

"The two sides had said Sunday was the deadline for a decision on whether to continue with talks."
That sentence just sums up the nonsense of Brexit. A deadline to decide whether today is the deadline or not.
I think you've just got to do what the rest of Europe is doing and laugh at us.
