She’s said that she won’t be leading the tories into the next election. Of course she also said many times there wouldn’t be an election in 2017, that there was no way she’d postpone the brexit vote this week and how about the time she stated that she is focused on solving the “burning injustices” in our society so I’m not entirely sure we can take her word as gospel.

Andy Burnham stood to be leader of the Momentum Party twice. And lost twice. Resoundingly, both times. He lost precisely because he was everything Corbyn isn't. Just imagine being the sort of person who describes Jeremy Corbyn as a 'career politician' and then a few sentences later says that Andy Burnham should be leader of the party. Ignorance or stupidity, I'm not sure which. I really don't understand why people find it so hard to believe that a socialist party should be led by an actual socialist. Unsure why people who supposedly class themselves as Labour can't comprehend this - it's probably a pretty good hint that you are in the wrong party. If your idea of opposition is the 'cut a little bit less than the Tories, privatise a little less frequently than the Tories, don't cut welfare quite as much as the Tories, hate immigrants just a little bit less than the Tories, start wars abroad just as often as the Tories and support and sell weapons to criminals like Netanyahu and Bin Salman because money talks', then just join the Liberal Democrats already and let the rest of us get on with opposing this heinous government. There is a reason that the sort of vapid, fiddle whilst Rome burns, status quo centrism proposed by the likes of Andy Burnham and Yvette Cooper is being wiped out in the polls across Europe. It provides no answers to the problems and gross inequalities in our society. Just look at what is happening in France where the presidency of that despicable little elitist cretin Macron is being ripped down around him. And you want someone like that in charge of the Labour Party? Behave. There I've corrected that for you. My point is that the Labour Party has been taken over by Momentum.

Also, I am a member of the Labour Party and last time I checked I wasn't a member of Momentum Ditto. I’m a Labour member although not a momentum member. The vast majority of momentum members were encouraged by the positivity that swept Corbyn into leadership in the summer 2015 and they played a crucial role in the success against the odds of Labour in 2017 with their campaigning in the run up to the election. They are certainly not a “party within a party” anymore than Progress are for example.

Someone who isn’t 5 points behind in the polls to the worst government in living memory? Someone who might actually win an election you mean? Yes. That’s exactly what I would want. You seem to hate those left of centre more than the far right (I suppose far right and far left do overlap at times). Keep on with the Seamus Milne ‘fuck the west’ line of thinking and when we end up like East Germany please pat yourself on the back. Are you actually suggesting that if somebody like Yvette Cooper or Chuka Umunna was leader of the Labour Party they would be ahead in the polls? Bless. Labour were 23 points behind the Tories heading into the last general election and yet received their largest share of the vote for decades. Unsurprisingly, when purdah kicked in and the right-wing press actually had to give Labour a fair hearing, our poll ratings climbed 15 points. It also coincided with the **** you'd like leading the party having to actually go out and campaign to save their own jobs rather than spending their every breathing hour whoring themselves out to whichever TV studio would give them the airtime to launch ridiculous smears against their own members. I do indeed fiercely dislike what you describe as 'left of centre' which in reality means supporters of status quo neoliberal policies that create and perpetuate gross inequalities in our society. It's funny really that you mention the notion that the far left and far right overlap at times without even a hint of irony. Whilst the sort of politicians you'd like in charge of the Labour Party were attacking immigrants, supporting mandatory I.D cards and pandering to the BNP in places like Barking (oh hello again Margaret Hodge), the 'far left' were out on the streets opposing fascism and fighting fascists, like they always have. The left in the UK has always been the first on the streets to oppose fascism, whilst 'social democrats' like Blair and Clinton think the best way to oppose them is to imitate some of their policies. It really is a cult. Rome’s burning now, and look who you’ve given the lighter fuel to. A bunch of disaster capitalists who want to sell off the NHS bring in dire American food standards and kill a few more homeless people. This below is worth a read. You probably won’t as it’s not Russia Today but it might extinguish some of your inexplicably misguided anger. www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/nov/20/new-labour-neoliberal-left-tony-blair

Imagine talking about disaster capitalists and the selling off of the NHS and then linking an article defending Tony Blair. The man who makes millions of pounds 'advising' dictators and whose government it was that introduced privatisation into the NHS. I don't actually watch or read Russia Today but lets not let facts get in the way of a good characteristic smear. I'm still waiting for you to tell us all who it is that would have Labour ahead in the polls..... Also, its Paris burning, not Rome and look who is in charge there - the sort of social democrat you support. Awkward.

My opinion on the BBC is that they’re so desperate to appear neutral and impartial, they sometimes end up counterbalancing an argument with a contrived alternative argument nobody is really making. This is a good example - they probably really struggled to find anyone with anything good to say about May, but they didn’t want to just show a load of vox pops slagging her off, so they end up distorting what one woman says.
Top Gear is another example. Surely the only reason they still bother with that is because it’s their answer to the question ‘why do you only show left-wing comedy?’ Their answer should just be ‘because right-wing comedy isn’t funny’.
I don’t really think there is a left/right or Labour/Tory bias, just a bit of an over eagerness to pander to the establishment and keep everybody happy, which sometimes obfuscates honest reporting.

Absolutely disagree. Their very nature of "pandering to the Establishment" as you put it means they are massively biased against any perceived threat to the established order. JC and Labour are a huge threat to the powerful and the BBC are now openly, overtly nailing their colours to the elite mast.

Another masterstroke from JC right at the end of the day yesterday, wording the Motion not against the Government, but against the Prime Minister herself. Absolute genius.
We now know, after last week, that over a hundred Tory MPs do not want her to remain in charge. By tabling the Motion in this form, he has presented the Conservative backbenchers a way to support him in the vote without bringing down the Government.
If the Motion succeeds, Corbyn will not only have outlasted two Prime Ministers in his time as leader, he will also have brought one down.
Who can claim he isn't an effective Leader of the Opposition?
