If leaving the EU has been so wonderful for us, how come we’re begging the EU to extend the grace period for another two years?

Only in Ireland, for the Irish Actually it’s between one part of the U.K. and another. I think you’re right though, the Occupied Territories will be reunited with the rest of Ireland at some point in the near future.

Obviously that wasn’t in the Brexit manifesto in 2016. Also, I guess the highest death toll in Europe sort of balances that out somewhat, doesn’t it? The government were told by their own experts over the past five years that every possible Brexit outcome would make the population poorer. I am yet to see them wrong. OMG if its not in the manifesto it doesn't count

You have totally missed Lobster’s point with your vague “let’s feel positive” response. Lobster is quite right - we were told Brexit would make things better, but companies staying in the U.K. isn’t “better” - it’s the same. I am still yet to see one point of Brexit that has or will improve the lives of Average Joe Bloggs. How about this little snippet then Ursula von der Leyen has compared Brexit Britain to a “speedboat” when it comes to securing coronavirus vaccines, while likening the EU to a slower ship. The European Commission president accidentally made the case for Brexit after enduring weeks of criticism after delays in supplies of the AstraZeneca vaccine to the EU She admitted that the bloc of 27 countries took longer to make decisions over contracts for Covid-19 jabs than a single country would. “Alone, a country can be a speedboat, while the EU is more like a ship,” Mrs von der Leyen said. But if that were true, then the UK being a speedboat would have secured much more PPE than the Ship that is the EU when the UK decided not to sign up to the EU PPE Procurement scheme last March. Weeks later we are asking frontline staff to re-use gowns whilst the plane from Turkey bringing in the PPE we sourced was turned back because it wasn't fit for purpose.

Sounds familier. what did Italy do to deserve that.?

Yeah you were the perfect moderator weren't you 🤣🤣 The fact is most people don't like your online persona, and never will. It was a big mistake giving you mod status, and its still something you haven't managed to accept. Theres no moderating playbook, and I would argue there's too many of them, but there's no reason why they can't have an opinion that's different to yours

Be interesting to see how Johnson and his Nationalistic cronies get out of the Rubic cube, that is Northern Ireland. The hideous Foster and the DUP supported Brexit but are deeply unhappy with its consequencez. The simple fact of the matter is that the Republic of Ireland is in the EU, the single market and custom union. The UK is not. So, the border either needs to go on the ireland of ireland or in the Irish Sea. Find a solution to that Brexit related puzzle?

Everyone moderator or not is entitled to an opinion. This forum is just a place to air your own opinion. I don't think anyone has changed their opinions because someone else's opinion is different. I find I agree with some posters and disagree with others. But never try to influence others.

Seeing alot of online content of Unionists in the Occupied Territories of the North of Ireland brandishing Johnson a “traitor” - he did, of course, tell those very people that there would be no customs border between their country and the rest of the U.K.. More fool them for trusting a proven pathological liar; he’s doing a fine job of dividing the United Kingdom. What does his Party “conserve” exactly (apart from the offshore bank balances of their pals)? They’re no longer the party of the Union, but an unashamed English nationalist organisation. Scotland will go, the OTs will be returned to Ireland, Wales will have to go for their own good by that point.
