People in this country have got a really bad serf mentality. If you’ve got a plummy voice and wear a Saville Row suit you can get away with murder, as this Government continues to demonstrate.

I've realised that should've gone on the lockdown thread really. Ah well, we should probably just have one thread for all government misdoings.

Get Brexit Done. Looks like its rapidly coming undone to me. Lol. Just proves that empty slogans are no substitute for a coherant policy. Fortunately. the EU recognise Johnson and Frost for the chancers, they are. Just a pity the UK electorate are so slow on the uptake.

More examples of people giving their experiences of how Brexit has hindered their business. Rich people not being able to eat at lunchtimes, still at least they have taken back control. www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-57555608

See the Express crying “Brexit revenge as European holidays disrupted.” Lol. Shouldn’t that be “Brexit success: U.K. stops citizens freedom of movement, as requested.”? I don't envy the pro-Brexit newspapers' task of having to come up with ways of telling people Brexit is working, or that it's someone else's fault it isn't. I just hope people who voted for it hold the government to account, because they did promise them it would be a success. They should not accept any excuses for it not being.

Saw a post by a Brexshitter on a community page earlier today where he claimed that the shortage of lorry drivers won't affect him getting grocery deliveries etc, as his comes in a van to his front door, not by lorry. Much hilarity followed when the obvious was pointed out to him - which seemed to get him angrier and angrier by the second, and just as I was about to get a screenshot the post disappeared.
Meanwhile garden centres in the South West are having to give away £100,000+ worth of plants for free as those bloody foreign workers have been kicked out so can’t look after the plants. Well, they did say Brexit would make things cheaper…

Even better than that, you’ve now got the Daily Heil providing comedy gold headlines such as: “Let’s unite with the EU to crush the curse of border bureaucracy”.
Yes, the Daily Heil. They are now dreaming of a near-future whereby the U.K. can trade easily with other European countries without border delays, as if it was some sort of a “Union of Europe” or something, I guess.

Remember when Gove said during the referendum that we’ve had enough of experts? I think we all must have misheard him, pretty sure he meant expOrts… and imports… Possibly. In any case I hope time ensures that he becomes infamous for that comment, and synonymous with a deeply sinister governmental strategy. Demonising intellectuals has been a technique of some of the most wicked regimes in history - most notably the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia who murdered anyone with a university degree. Bad governments don't like smart people.

It would be nice to hear from some of the Brexit cheerleaders on this site. Given what’s happened thus far, who or what do they think is to blame for the ongoing problems? Is it Brexit itself? Is it the Tories delivery of it (and let’s face it they’ve failed at most things)? Is it Remoaners not believing in it enough? Or is it the fault of foreigners?

Food and drink eports to the EU, especially beef and dairy products down 2 billion. Of course this directly impacts the farmers that voted for it. Stupidity of the highest order. Havent seen many Pro Brexit posters, around the Cheshire countryside lately. What did they think was going to happen?

The big bus didn’t mention this did it? Boris thinks that they were stupid enough to vote Brexit and still believe it was right so they will be happy to continue to do whatever he suggests is the right way forward. Even Cummings, who 'got Brexit don' only to be thrown to the wolves by those he got into well paid positions of authority, admitted that he has doubts about it being the right way forward.
