Oh dear. Looks like another consequence of a hard Brexit could be a cross border poll on a united Ireland. Hope the break up of the UK is a price worth paying for getting immigration down by a few thousand. Lol. Good post.

www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/may/21/support-for-brexit-falls-sharply-in-northern-irelandAccording to the latest opinion poll support for remaining in the single market and costoms union, in Northern Ireland ( whixh didnt vote Brexit anyway) has risen fron 56% ti 76%. And in the event of a hard border and a hard brexit support amongst catholics who will be in a majority by 2022 is 56% in support of a cross border poll on a united Ireland. Which will undoubtedly happen within my lifetime. Meanwhile, on fantasy island, the useless May held in office but not power by the DUP is too busy negiotating with the warring factions in her own cabinet to negiotaite with the EU.lol I guess the thought for unionists of being dragged out of the union, against their wishes is as abhorrant as the thought for remainers of being dragged out of the EU, but I suppose what goes around comes around.

Why wouldn't I. I dream of a united Ireland for no other reason that that's how it should be after 1,000 years of subjugation by the mother country. And no I'm not Catholic.

An issue as big as a unified Ireland will have to go to a referendum and it'll be interesting to see how those in the Occupied Territories vote. My guess is they'll want out of the UK if we engineer a "hard Brexit."

You wont get a debate, because the arguments for Brexit are falling apart by the day. Looks like you can have continued investment by the likes of Airbus, Jaguar, BMW, Nissan, etc in the UK or the 'Hard Brexit' fantasy. Looks like economic reality and Big Business has 'kicked Theresa's May's arse. Lol

They are all cowards, none of them want to take the blame for the car crash that is Brexit. It does seem that way. To be honest I always felt the whole referendum was more about the future direction of the Conservative party than anything, and therefore it was a vote for either the simpering nonsense of Cameron and Osborne, or the hard-right xenophobic populism of Boris and Gove, and for that reason I didn't feel much satisfaction in voting at all. Boris didn't want the Leave vote to happen, I don't think. He wanted it to nearly happen so that there was enough momentum behind him that he could force his way into No. 10.
I still think if Brexit can force a change of government in the UK, then maybe it's not a bad thing.

We are so blessed to have your input to this complex issue. Says the man (?) whose input to this thread usually consists of a ‘lol’, a ‘whatever’ or some other passive aggressive bullshit. Time to face facts my friend, the whole Brexit cult was built on fantasy politics for three year olds, with absolutely no understanding of how the real world operates. You’ve been played by a bunch of cynical sociopaths and unfortunately we all have to suffer the consequences. Go on, give us a lol.
