If Brexit was a dog you would have put it out of its misery by now. Lol. Gone from sunlit uploads to stock puling food and medicine. 'It may take 50 years to see the benefits of Brexit.' Reece Mogg. ' I didnt say Brexit would have financial benefits.Farage. whilst he has not surrendered his MEP salary or his sons German passport. Whilst John Redwood is advising his clients not to invest in the Uk due to the disruprion Brexit will cause and the Thatcherite twat Lawson has pissed off to his villa in the South of France. And these are Brexits leading advocats. A Titanic success as Johnson would say. Good job large parts of the country are coming to their senses. Be interesting to see if the hapless May can get this Tory created monster through parliment without either a General election or a referendum or both? Lol

Thought we hadn't heard one of your rants for a while. It was hardly a rant, but if you think people are angry now, wait till the shit really hits the fan next year and people realise how much they were lied to. All the economic damage to satisfy the wet dreams of Daily Mail / Express / Sun readers.

Just when you think it couldn’t get any worse the Tories come up with yet more ineptitude on the international stage. The whole thing is acutely embarrassing and the longer it goes on the more this country looks ridiculous. Liam Fox and his promised Spitfire stunt next year (will we ever get over WW2?) looks to be the icing on the cake. Reckon my cringe may have to be surgically removed at that point

From being in Denmark recently, I do get the feeling that they and indeed most of Europe think we’re as dumb as rocks. Just a silly island nation with an insular attitude who only bother learning one language and don’t have a clue what’s going on. Kind of like we see America.
A shame because there’s a lot that’s great about this country, but on an international level all we seem to give off is arrogance and ignorance.

Apparently, May's advisers are taking about a snap General Election to break the impasse. That worked well, last time. Lol. Naturally, The Daily Mail readers are wetting their pants in case it lets Corbyn into No 10. What fun this is turning out to be watching Brexit and the Tories inplode.

Naturally, The Daily Mail readers are wetting their pants in case it lets Corbyn into No 10. What fun this is turning out to be watching Brexit and the Tories inplode. I said to a few people last time we had an election, the Tories called it because they didn't want to win it.
Everyone in the country with half a brain could see that coming out of the EU was going to be a lot harder than simply putting a cross in the leave box. As the first poster on the thread stated, its a bit of a mess and it always was going to be.
The Tories cant wait to hand this over to Labour, however with the right wing press outselling the left/centre press the country is always going to be persuaded to not vote for Corbyn, Why, because they are petrified that their precious shares they have locked up in privatized companies will be worthless once Labour Nationalise whatever they can.
If the Tories lose the election (Unlikely at this stage) they can sweep back into power in five years on the back of blaming Labour for an economic meltdown caused by the mess that is Brexit. A bit like when they and their friends from the mail etc blamed Labour for the global economic crisis in 2008.
If there was to be a second referendum or indeed a referendum on the Chequers plan, if anyone who did vote leave is unsure ask yourselves this - The three main protagonists for driving this on the Tory side are Johnson, Gove and Rees-Mogg, What do they have to gain for leaving the EU? Compared to what the common man does?

Whilst the Tories are polishing their CD Rom collection. Momentum are using the lastest apps to undermine the Tories. The Tories are outgunned by the Labour party in every marginal. The Tories are receiving more money from dead people than living. The over 65s are indeed less likely to use social media, and more likely to be happily spoon-fed the propaganda of the right wing papers and the official state-run propaganda machine of the BBC (see the absolutely DISGUSTING "interview" by Marr yesterday), but like the Brexit vote, they're not going to be around to see the future, whilst those generally under 50 who use a lot of social media will continue to do so as they get older. It's a generational thing more so than an age thing. I doubt I'll stop using social media when I hit 65 for example, and I'm sure that goes for the majority.

Also you'd imagine those current voting habits will just continue as the current generation get older - especially if they continue to use social media, which the mainstream left of politics are very good at, to form their opinions.

Bit of a mess isn't it... 9 months further down the road and it's still an absolute shambles. It will be a shambles right up until the day itself, and beyond. We simply don't know what we're doing.
Surely the only argument remaining for Brexit is some sort of anarchist one, like a 'rip it up and start again' mentality? I can't believe anyone who based their vote on blue passports, bent bananas or too many Polish off-licences can still stand by their decision having seen the mess it's created. Most of my wife's family voted Brexit and now admit they made a mistake.

It is a good point, but I’ve also read that wealth and class are not the indicators of voting patterns they once were, and that the most likely group to vote Tory now is the C2 demographic, which is skilled labourers like plumbers and sparks.

You got to love Corbyn. He's running rings around the hapless May; who is dancing on a pin head. Undermining her and her Tory Brexit at every turn. To be honest I feel a bit sorry for Theresa May. As Tories go I don't think she's a bad egg, she's just out of her depth and is in an unenviable position of having to sort out this dreadful mess her own party created. I have a lot more respect for her than the likes of Boris and Gove, who have done the political equivalent of farting in a crowded lift and then getting out at the first floor.

I never forget her "citizen of the world is a citizen of nowhere speech" and her red lines, that have now, completely boxed her in. In her arrogance she thought she could destroy Corbyn and the Labour party, for a generation, with her 20 point lead in the polls. But as it turned out Corbyn destroyed her. Dead woman walking . Lol.
