Labour governments borrow less and pay back more. Funny that because Tony Blair by his own volition said something totally to the contrary. Keep spouting your absolute nonsense it’s a great laugh. Tony Bliar said Iraq had WMDs. I’ll say it again, Labour governments borrow less and pay back more than the Tories. This is a fact. The current Tory government (of nine years) have borrowed more than every Labour government combined. Ever.

Labour governments borrow less and pay back more. SB, I know the Tories don't have a great history of financial management but don't make yourself look even more daft by pretending Labour have ever done any better. Also, I don't know why you guys seem to have beef with anybody who appears to have a penny more than you. What a bizarre thing to say. What makes you think anybody on here has any more or less than anybody else? You come across as a proper Tory, thinking everyone is motivated by greed and envy.

The Tory bastards are up to their dirty tricks again after buying up a website address in the name of a Labour candidate – to tell voters to “stop Jeremy Corbyn.” For a Party that have been in power for a decade shouldn’t their campaign be about all the wonderful things they’ve presided over for this country in that time, asking us to vote for more of it? Not this shite of lies, smears and underhand tactics online. They’ve got nothing. Get rid. Not even an original stunt as it's more or less the same thing Led By Donkeys did by buying up thebrexitparty.com. The difference is that one is a satirical campaign group, the other wants to win people's trust and be a Member of Parliament.

Going back to the subject of electoral fraud, remember only one member of the public was convicted in 2017 yet various Tory candidates overspent their allowance and coveted it up...
... did anybody else see Dominic Raab casually admit to viewing people’s postal votes? The same Raab who billed the poor families of dead people £2,000 each to repatriate their bodies AND slagged off the grieving parents of a kid mowed down by an American diplomats wife driving on the wrong side of the road (then found immunity back in America).
Now admitting jovially to viewing postal votes.
Scumbag. Law-breaking scumbag. Of course these “born to rule” Tories see themselves as above the law. We all know that much.

Almost total DevaChat silence on that issue until you mentioned it! I just wish someone would show me all this AS, so I didn’t think it was BS. Whilst there are various examples of members being investigated either previously or currently including members being suspended and then re-instated, i think one of the biggest problems Corbyn had himself was for the foreword in Hobson's book. Before the outcry, i have to say i find this kind of campaigning distasteful and americanised but unfortunately Corbyn has this little tie with AS and given there's nothing positive the Tory party can come out with, it's clearly going to be a strategy to tarnish him with it. I have to say, other politicians with this kind of mistake (if you want to call it that) would not have survived. As i've said before, i truly believe Corbyn and the direction of the party is prohibitive of the labour landslide that should follow the absolute shambles of the last 3 years. Theres www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/may/01/jeremy-corbyn-blind-antisemitism-hobson i read a while back. i think that explains it.

CORBYN’s GOT UNREDACTED DOCUMENTS AGAIN. Live press conference now on the subject of Northern Ireland.
"There will be customs declarations and regulatory checks" between Northern Ireland and Great Britain, plus the potential for tariffs between GB and NI.
The government's own confidential report has just exposed Boris Johnson's claim of no border down the Irish Sea to be a lie.

Although I generally support him, he is clumsy at times. Most of what gets flagged up with him is historical stuff though, I think he's learned a lot since he's been the party leader. He's not a superhuman and I understand why some think he's not a leader. I just think he's generally a good bloke with good intentions, and a damn sight better than what we've got at the moment.
Not sure I agree that other politicians wouldn't have survived this sort of thing. Boris compared Muslims wearing veils to letterboxes only a few months ago, the DUP have been linked to some horrendous stuff, and the US President tweets worse than this every day before he's had his breakfast!

Its depressing. I don't think that many people love him to be honest. He's largely unpopular, as was May. I suspect a lot of the Tory vote will come from people who see him as the lesser of two evils, just like others will see JC as the lesser and so vote Labour. Andrew Neil's piece last night would have been damaging for Johnson but clearly the calculation is that it'd be a whole lot more damaging if he actually appeared. Which is probably right. It's interesting that the Johnson campaign have done little to counter the widespread negative views about him that you mention above. Corbyn supporters on the other hand still promote him as the ethical alternative with people's best interests at heart. Good grief! It's no wonder that many people have no idea how to vote next week.

Sorry mate, missed this. I know you disagree citing Milliband which prompted the shift to the left, however my view remains that a moderate left of centre opposition smashes this shambles. I also know you don't like the use of 'left of centre' but you know what i mean. I have felt for some time that Corbyn comes with so much baggage and that the leadership is holding the country back from a labour victory. He's not vanilla like a Cameron or a Clegg, he incites fandom as much as he also has people disliking him. Its his credit as much as it'll likely be his downfall. Take Kier Starmer. Can't dislike him, he wouldnt capture an audience like Corbyn either. If he were leading the party maybe the election would focus on issues and policies and not AS etc. Just my views, irrelevant as im deeside and Tami is safe as houses.
