Seemed a rather pointless exercise to announce Bignot's removal before the end of the season and that list of names, if representative of the quality of applicants, may lead them to regret their decision to announce Bignot's departure so early. Also, we can remove Redfearn, Money and Moore from that list right now, none of them would even consider dropping to the NLN, let alone to a club with a budget like ours.
Also, given that both Ollerenshaw and Howell had both openly stated Bignot wasn't right for the club before they were co-opted onto the board, their resignations may now mean that decision no longer represents the majority view of the CFU board.

Unfortunately I feel you are correct. As a club we are doing nothing to Help ourselves. Communication barely better than previously. Who is going to want the job given the shambolic mess behind the scenes.

A club in crisis, divisions aplenty, a worried fan base. It’s time for Commissioner whoever’s in charge to pick up the Barrowphone.

The thing is that the board sack bignot for next season to give a feel good factor with a new manager then self implode . The list is no improvement in my eyes hopefully i am wrong.

Go for it, you deserve each other😀 No but heard he could be at Wrexhams helm next season Managing Tns and not winning the league is like managing Celtic and not winning that one team league.

Quite honestly I would be scouring football for managers who meet the criteria (whatever that may be).
Personal choice I would want someone who knows the area and has experience managing in this area. Young, enthusiastic, driven, can work to a strict budget and someone who buys into our youth academy to develop our graduates.
Oh and let's not forget, keep us up next season!

There should be the air of excitement and anticipation when talking of appointing a new manager at any club That list doesn’t inspire. We still require clarity from our marvellous board regarding our position in terms of financial well being etc. Maybe once clarification is forthcoming re this can we think about a new manager and next season. We can’t just assume we are ok for next season with this lot. I think we will seriously struggle to appoint after this week's rollercoaster ride. Not left us in a good light and all the social media bickering certainly hasn't helped. Doesn't look good looking from outside in? A bit embarrassed myself. Embarrassing is the word, no question. A mate tonight asked me how Chester were getting on. I normally love talking about the club even when we’re crap, but tonight I just wanted to change the subject.

Anthony Limbrick has been sacked by Woking this week - could be worth consideration. Highly qualified and had them playing some nice football. Comes across as knowing his stuff when he's been a pundit on BT too. They've fallen away recently but don't think ( ? ) they have a very big budget.

Doesn't fit the profile of being North West based, or having a real knowledge of the North West football scene

Definitely not. Calum is doing a fabulous job with the youth set up. To remove him from that and install him in a position where he has no experience and will have high expectations and high possibility of failure is unfair on him, his family, the club and the supporters. Leave Calum to continue to develop the future of the club and someone else better qualified to look after first team.

Come the end of May there will be plenty of out of work coaches and managers who will be starting to get concerned about where next. Even though we are skint we always pay our way (so far) and the facilities are pretty good. There will be some old lags who will see it as a pay day, and hopefully some young coaches who will see it as an opportunity. Experienced successful managers you can forget, even at our level. Whoever it is it will be a bit of a gamble but they will need us to have a bit of patience and realistic expectations as well as us attending and giving some vocal as well as financial backing. Good luck to whoever it is. On reflection Marcus Bignot probably deserved at least the opportunity to turn the job down.

Mark Bower for me from BPA - Good record at BPA and Guiseley although perhaps too Yorkshire based and not quite enough North West knowledge

I literally just burst out laughing at my desk......Dean Saunders!! Andy Holden does not want a managers job, but would be happy to work as an assistant. My choice would be Graham Barrow/ Andy Holden. But the current board would need to change for that to happen.

Change in what way? Just curious? The board need to get their act together, it's a bloody shambles. Listened to the shane pinnington podcast last night and SO, MB and Steve Bower all had the same opinion that we need a more professional approach regarding running the first team. It's extremely worrying. I think next season has a good chance of being written off before it's even begun.

Why would any manager with a decent reputation want to go anywhere a club run by this current lot?

What is needed is a Manager who knows his way around the lower leagues and can pick players who put the Club first not just the money like some of the ones lately but while we have people in charge who dont know a donkey from a horse what hope is there as is proven over the last 2 seasons
