Now Bangor have been suspended from competitive football - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49242566Putting two and two together, sounds they're about to get kicked out of their division and one of the two relegated sides also suspended will take their place. Fair play, what an achievement to take Bangor City down to the Welsh third tier, alongside the likes of Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateur.

Feel sorry for my local club Holywell Town. The Wellmen are a well run club relegated on goal difference last year and now dragged into this mess and suspended from playing competitive football! Not sure if they are ready for tier 2 after preparing and signing players preseason for tier 3. The FAW should have sorted this mess during the closed season instead of dragging their feet.

Feel sorry for you digitrac. You say that this whole mess should have been sorted out well before now! This is the FA of Wales you are talking about; one of the most incompetent organisations you are ever likely to come across - good luck!

There's certainly an air of stuffiness and officialdom about the Welsh FA's statement that to me seems pretty ill-judged. www.faw.cymru/en/news/statement-faw-officers-committee-decision/The statement should at least acknowledge that Holywell and Llandyrnog are only being suspended because of the knock-on effects of Bangor's situation. Instead, it reads like they're being bracketed in with Bangor as clubs not behaving themselves. A lot of sources are reporting "three clubs suspended from Welsh league", which gives the impression they've all done something wrong. It's publicity they don't need.

Exactly this - Hopefully the Wellmen will come out of this clusterf**k without too much damage and can get on with playing competitive footy - I've adopted them as my second team and attend when I can't get to Chester games

That's how I read it, not knowing all the background. Shocking that the FAW can put out a statement like that, which reads like it was written in 1819. Thought the FA was bad.....

"The Sports Resolutions UK Independent Arbitration Panel sat today (16 August) to consider the matter of an appeal and the hearing of an additional charge between Bangor City FC (Appellant) and the Football Association of Wales (Respondent in the Appeal / Complainant in the additional charge). The sitting Chairman has released the Operative Part of the Decision on Bangor City’s appeal and the FAW’s additional charge in this case. The decision is as follows: The Club is successful in its appeal. It follows that the Club should have restored to it (i) the 21 points deducted from the Huws Gray Alliance League record for the 2018/19 season, and (ii) the fine imposed upon it by the FAW Appeal Panel. The additional charge is not proven. The FAW shall pay 100% of the arbitration costs. No order of costs as between the parties. Written reasons will be published to the parties concerned by the close of business on 19 August 2019. Bangor City will therefore compete in the JD Cymru North for the forthcoming 2019/20 season. Meanwhile, it is also confirmed that Holywell Town will play in the Welsh National League Premier Division and that Llandyrnog United will participate in the Welsh Alliance League Division One. The FAW will not be making any further comment at this time." Could this be the same Christopher O'Neal?
I bet it is.
He also likes a freedom of information request, including one, interestingly surrounding ownership of facilities at Bangor City FC by the city Council.

I don't know for sure but at a total guess I would say yes, It looks and sounds like the Vaughan's type of person. Still can't believe Gary Roberts defended the scumbags in his interview when they continue to kill football clubs at will. They are a menace to the sport and should be banned from ever owning any club including family or associates

According to local press, the new owner of BCFC will be Serefino, an Italian musician whom it is claimed is popular in South America - which if true, I find rather apt.

Couple of Italian themed snippets concerning BCFC -
Some (loosely translated) extracts from an interview with BCFC's DOF Max Leghissa that have appeared on an Italian publication -
In Wales there is a Serie B team that has 21 Italian players in the squad. A unique story that today is on the pages of Libero.
It's called Bangor City Football Club, it's a historic club, Napoli faced it (and eliminated it in the third race) in the Cup Winners' Cup in 1962. It boasts three league titles, eight Welsh cups, a participation in the Champions League preliminaries and ten at the Europa League. But 21 of his players are Italian as is also the DOF, Max Leghissa, creator of the Italian transformation.
The 21 Italians are all professionals. "The coach and his staff are from Liverpool and we are staying and training there for now: we come to Bangor only for the matches, all in all they are only 240 km round trip. Italian kids live together in a large bed and breakfast, with rooms for two people and a kitchen available. Obviously there are food stocks sent by relatives from Italy: spaghetti, pummarola, mozzarella ".
For boys it is also an opportunity to learn about foreign countries and a new language, explains the DOF.
Bangor was demoted because the 5,000 seat stadium was not up to standard, but now the problem is solved and Leghissa assures that the intention is to enter the top flight and return to Europe within two years.
"Here we live well, there are 25,000 inhabitants and there is one of the best universities in the United Kingdom. At weekends, people come from Liverpool and Manchester. The fans are in high spirits: in the last game they presented themselves dressed in blue and tricolor to pay homage to us Italians ”.
BCFC's main sponsor is Eurogold whose owner is Bernard Brickland. Mr Brickland is also a co-owner of an Italian restaurant situated in Liverpool. The restaurant is managed by his daughter and her partner. Her partner - Kevin De La Cruz, is the other co-owner of the restaurant. In 2007, a man with the same name, the same age and living in the same street as 'this' Kevin received an eight year sentence for his involvement in an armed robbery at a branch of Barclays bank. Unfortunately press reports do not give a street number so maybe just a co-incidence?

Yeah, probably just a coincidence!? Will be interesting to see their attendance when and if they manage a home fixture. Over 400 watched the reformed Bangor last Saturday playing at Treborth at level 5 in the Welsh pyramid. They have won every league game so far.

Stephen Vaughan Jr and William Adamson stand down as directors of BCFC. Domineco Serafino has been appointed as sole director. VSM no longer have a shareholding in BCFC. The new major shareholder is Sudaires SRL. Sudaires SRL currently appears to be an online publication managed by a Pablo Sudaires. A twitter account and website bearing that name have been launched in the last few weeks. The companies raison d'etre would appear to be the promotion of the Serafino's,- Sr who now runs BCFC and Jr who plays for BCFC.
