Top work on the KGV Jim. Is there any truth in the rumour that Blacon Council (Barwicks ward) are looking to get the changing rooms listed building status? Application has gone in to English Heritage. Blue plaque on the showers in honour of Mella. 😂😂😂 Tai chi in a leopard print thong with a rolly on

Surprised that Gittons women and the council didn't refuse it to build even more houses in Blacon, what's the betting when the doctors surgery goes from western avenue those fields in front of the old army houses will be built on as well. its crazy how the library the community centre the old British legion ect has all gone only to be squeezed into such a small space and that park for the kids on the parade is utter bollocks, i am so glad this worked out to give the kids a focus. For the council go bleeding build elsewhere and deal with the social issues an estate the size of Blacon has first instead of adding more problems for the future. crazy feckers. Oh I forgot the delta centre that British aero space paid for to give the kids a focus.

Would it be possible of the club setting up a time lapse of the construction ? Could be a good thing to look back at in the future

Quality shot that is. Can’t wait for it to start taking place. Just can’t believe we’ll finally have a base somewhere for the community and club teams. Grand opening should be a Deva Chat v Red Passion XI.

Should be up and running by the end of January if all goes to plan. Fully booked I believe.
A real achievement this. 👏

Is the first team already booked to use the facility when it’s open? Seems daft if not.

Is the first team already booked to use the facility when it’s open? Seems daft if not. It has been stated several times before but for clarity the 3G pitch will be for community use in the evenings. The senior team could use it, or the two grass pitches, during the day but not in the evening as per the terms of the Football Foundation grant funding.

Tuesday & Thursday nights plus Friday mornings. We also trained Monday mornings pre-covid.

This is brilliant news. Due to funding cuts etc them pitches are a mess, and the pavilion is literally falling apart. Bringing obselete things back into community use. What a club.

Have the site manager and other staff been appointed to run the facility? Does the Club as the lease holder have any liability for covering staff wages and maintenance if the books don't balance?

It’s run by the Community Trust, not the football club, so no transfer of liabilities to the football club. The trust is it’s own legal entity.
