Looking forward to tomorrow's game. Apparently the weather is going to be a scorcher this weekend, so bring your π incase.( Makes a change from the last few home matches). Also, York will bring their numbers behind the goal, which could make for a good game (especially with Parkin getting stick from Chester fans). Hopefully the Blues will be able to handle the heat by beating a York side who are really feeling the heat at the moment. Score: Chester FC (Hunt, Alabi) 2-1 York City Attendance: 2,227 (574 York)
UP THE SEALS!

Pehaps you should predict a York win and keep your run going!

I'll go for the long overdue home win! Parkin to score his obligatory goal against us . . . but Alabi to outgun him!! :-)
Should be a decent atmosphere too with large away following. 2,224 in the congregation.

Like I've said on another thread I've spoken to a female acquaintance who has 3rd eye and although she knows nothing about football insists it'll be a draw.
I'm extremely happy to accept 1 point after I point at home in 112 days.

Starting from tomorrow entry for the blues bar is completely FREE for the last three home games of the season. After that, the club will review it and it might be a permanent feature for next season.

The City Fans United board are pleased to announce that, for the remainder of the 2016/17 campaign, entry to the Blues Bar on a home matchday will be FREE! On the announcement, City Fans United Chair Alan Povey said: βAs we come closer towards the end of the season, the board are delighted to announce that we are dropping the entrance charge to the Blues Bar for all remaining home games of the season. βThe Blues Bar is a great place for supporters to meet pre-match, and we want to encourage as many people as possible to use it to help create a great pre-match atmosphere. With BT Sport also showing live games, why not enjoy a televised game before enjoying the real thing! βWe will review this again at the end of the season, but β if successful - we would also hope to make this a permanent feature next season.β Read more at www.chesterfc.com/news/article/2016-17/blues-bar-now-free-entry-3662321.aspx#sdqrthWCZEHicHry.99

York have spent a fortune strengthening their side recently. That's why their results have improved.
It would be a disaster dropping into the National North 12 months after dropping out of the league. They're trying to buy themselves out of relegation. If they've put together a 'top six' type side, on big wages and bonuses, it will be tough for us today. They might be the type of side we tend to struggle against.
We've also a glut of injuries, limiting our options. Might see Matty Waters to starting left midfield today, with Liam Davies on the bench?

This is all true, tough game, York are on a mission, they are looking at relegation. I would love a win but realistically would settle for a point

It's not a disaster, but can anyone ever remember a spell of home form as bad as this.
Admittedly I'm including the Cheshire Cup here, but this is going to mean that in our last ten home games in all competitions, we've drawn one and lost nine! Given that I'm of the perhaps old fashion opinion that you should be disappointed to even draw a home game, that really is exceptionally shite.

I'm sorry Mr McCarthy, but that is completely unacceptable. Totally outplayed by a bottom 4 team who could have scored 5 or 6. Dawson is probably a contender for a worst ever Chester XI and Alabi was no better than he was at Torquay last week. Utterly demoralising. No wonder the crowd was so low. I think any manager with any integrity would walk after the home run like that. I really do believe that our good run was down to Sharps. I don't know how anyone can expect home performances like that can result in anything other than defeat.

Hudson ππ»ππ»ππ»He's absolutely garbage. As for 1 up front against a bottom 4 team, Macca is quickly becoming under pressure. Our record in 2017 is abysmal and he's to blame. Picking players out of position and 5 in midfield loses all the goodwill that he built up earlier in the season from me. Glad there's only 2 home games left.

It's perfectly simple. If we start next season with McCarthy in charge and the bulk of this team, we'll go down.
