Really need a win on Monday. The season has gone from promising to ok fair enough we're midtabale to an absolute crisis. My head says we will stay up by the skin of our teeth, but it does not bode well for next season with this absolute buffoon in charge. The board need to act now and pull the trigger.

McCarthys interview later. "We played well but just missed Kane Richards upfront" or "you never asked these questions when 17 unbeaten" and his current favourite "we have negative fans" We were never 17 unbeaten, our longest unbeaten run has been 9 games this season!! We lost once in 17 I believe which is a decent run whether you like it or not. Truth is, even if we were playing well not many teams go to FGR and get a result. So us in such bad form there was only one result likely today. We need one win to make sure but I'd expect even if we lost all 3 we would stay up thankfully. Played well against Lincoln but very poor today. Onto Monday where we really do need a result, for the fans.

Post match interview from JM "the pleasing thing was Joyce played well". Jog on, if the bright point in any game is Joyce, you know we are well and truely fudged. 4 points from relegation and 3 games to go. Monday is massive. Lose and well lets just say its not going to be a fun last few games. Win and he probably buys himself a reprieve and a chance to prove us wrong and off load the players we all know will not improve next season.

Certainly doesn't look good. I haven't done the full maths but we still should be ok (for this season at least) as we have a 4 point buffer with three games left and the teams below us have to play each other. Our goal difference is vastly better as well so that gives us an extra edge if it comes down to goal difference.
Its been bloody awful since Christmas though and there must be question marks about the manager who at this point isn't filling anyone with confidence.

I cannot see any benefit in keeping McCarthy, there is no way back for him. He has to go. So does the CEO!

Just caught his post-match interview
"There's a resilience about us". - REALLY?
"The booing at home is something I can't really accept" - DOES HE KNOW WHY IT'S HAPPENING?
"We'll go away and learn from this" - HAVE WE EVER?

Jog on and take your friends like Joyce and George with you. Absolute ignorant and arrogant muppet.

That interview is shocking a disrespectful to the fans. I was a fan of McCarthy but that interview is indefensible!

He and Maguire are killing this club and you have to ask yourself it it's deliberate. Is there a hidden agenda?

He's lost the plot

Personally I don't boo although I do state facts such as 'we are utter rubbish' and 'the manager is talking out of his arse'.

Maybe the board have told him they are concerned about falling attendances. So mastermind McCarthy decides to get us in a relegation dogfight to boost attendances. 😄

I've been behind McCarthy since day 1 but seriously starting to realise after seeing his interview, avoiding turners questions again and still bring up 'that run' that looking ahead has kept us in the league. Not coming over a clapping the fans today... he soon came over when we won at torquay and Bromley but win or lose were there and deserve the respect for paying and watching that shite

5 points separate 9 teams. We're 4th in this mini-league and the bottom team goes down.

Someone on our board need to start getting the answers to some of the questions that Turner is asking. If he ain't gonna answer the questions that a journalist is asking he sure as hell should if his employer does. Our do our current board not have the backbone to risk hurting his feelings.

Bet you a meat pie with sides that nobody provides any answers before the next manager is in place.

Jesus, you must be a wind-up merchant! Did Jon McCarthy and Mark Maguire meet late one night in a quiet, disused car-park on the edge of town? To hatch their genius agenda of taking us down, which if successful, will cost them both their jobs? Seriously, what ON EARTH are you talking about? Beyond ridiculous. For what it is worth, JM's interviews become more and more concerning with each game. His sense of reality does seem to be a little squiffed at the minute and some of his language does create an 'us and them' mentality between the players and the crowd. I don't think he has managed that rapport with the crowd all season and at this level it counts. I'd argue that Burr's strongest point was unifying the crowd and getting the place bouncing, which we've just not seen from Jon.

You have to think of this in money terms as far as they're concerned. Chester is not in their hearts as it is with us.

If you remember Burr had us in exactly the same position last year and was talking equal amounts of rubbish.
