If we think back over 12 months ago, weren't these all the same criticisms we were making of Burr? Playing players out of position, different formation every week, criticising youth players in public and not playing them, only ever signing midfielders, deluded optimism, inability to recruit effectively? Does make you wonder more and more as to who was pulling the strings back then, and never forget how McCarthy used to sound an utter baffoon then in every post match interview, usually highlighting the budget as a justification of yet another defeat.

Not as suicidal as most after this. FGR weren't v good and perhaps if we had gone for it from the start, as we were positive in last 15 mins. we could have got something. On player front I don't have any issues individually. The one who really stood out was Durrell. Always does on rare occasions that I watch us. Low centre of gravity, good feet, strong and relentless in his commitment. I liked the way he and Hughes argued for about 3 mins. Not sure what the issue was but showed they were concerned and up for it. Don't think fans need to be so despondent. We won't go down. Manager is committed and has kept us up. Another goalscorer along with Alabi and we will be top 6 next season. Is this you McCarthy? I've Never read such tripe.

He is exactly the same as Burr , We could have been 6-0 down after half an hour . Somebody else needs to take charge of the team on Monday if we are to win ,it really is that serious .

Chris Iwelumo - He may be free ? And he may not be ,its anyones guess . If he isnt there it will speak volumes about his commitment to the job . For what its worth i wouldnt want him as manager ,temporary or otherwise as he has been happy to take easy money from the club on two occasions

It's not Chris' fault, it's the club's fault for appointing someone who is only there every other week. It is a bit of a joke because we need someone full time who has fire in their bellies.

Gulp - It looks like we were lucky to get away with the 2-0, very quick and attacking play from forest green and likely to make an interesting match up for Tranmere in the playoffs.

Thanks for that Anders, I managed to watch 2 minutes before I had to turn it off for fear of launching my tablet due to watching Luke George literally jog around. 2 years he's stolen a wage and as for having the armband....

They can't defend though. Even offering as little as we did their defence still had a few shaky moments as you can see in the last couple of clips. I don't think they'll go up.

It's midfield that's the big problem I think. Defence is solid enough with Hughes and Astles having decent games and Vassell doing his best in an unnatural position for them, but they're overworked because of how often George and co. lose the ball and don't win it back. Our defending is brave and industrious but it's all a bit desperate and last ditch.

Wow, that looked absolutely terrible. The manager can dress it up as much as he wants but when I see George trotting around and out of position as much as that (that was just the highlights) it makes my blood boil. Joyce simply isn't good enough and is being hung out to dry out of position.
If someone had said that was an attack v defence exercise I would have believed them, we were just shadowing them, not a tackle in sight. One shot by Durrell from 35 yards out and one attempt by Waters deflected wide.
The worrying thing is we look a spent force, little fight or desire, Lynch and the back four are under pressure so much every game it's not a surprise we let goals in and mistakes are made.
