well we will see won't we. We don't need the market share Man City are after. If we sell several thousand shirts off the back of the celebrity endorsement (a miniscule amount compared to the US population, even those interested in football) then its all stuff we wouldn't sell otherwise. Beckham has already shown off a personalised Wrexham shirt on his Instagram account. Posts on social media by Rob and Ryan, and by people like Hugh Jackman, Beckham and Chris Hadfield reach a global audience of millions. It may all be pie in the sky, and I agree it sounds ludicrous, but maybe we just all think too small. Our first pre season game is being reported by ESPN and People magazine, and not just the Evening Leader. So thats a change already. "The Untapped American Market" err...yeah good luck with that. I’m sure the untapped American market is crying out for a team ranked at about 100 in the English pyramid.

You quite often see UK supermarkets selling T-Shirts with things on the front like San Diego Surfing Co and Big Bobs Chopper Shop Milwaukee, i have often thought is there a similar market in the US for people to be seen walking around in T shirts with Rhyl Roofing or Toothless Dills Corner Store Abergele, but then i remember, no there isn't.

We certainly didn't but many supporters have been pushing the trust to become more proactive in looking for a buyer/investors for years. I know some are wedded to supporter ownership and given what has happened to both of our clubs in the past it is understandable. However, we were constantly told that there would never be a rich sugar daddy come in for Wrexham but it has happened.
Equally, there must be some rich investor out there interested in buying your club.
Whatever the future holds I am going to enjoy the ride.

Philadelphia Union of course play in Chester - a suburb of Philadelphia. Even now they’re still obsessed with little old us 🤣 Didn't the new owners make a statement that they vowed to "Always beat Chester" ? Well this is the only way that's gonna happen

How else are Wrexham going to play Chester in the foreseeable. FA Cup, seriously not likely, likewise the trophy. Then IF Wrexham go up it'll be next to zero chance of playing them again. That is unless Chester get interest from a genuine investor. Now that is possible. Will the fans sell though ?

Some days I’m adamant we keep the club with us and in a good year we get to NL and stay in there like we did a few years ago. Other times I get frustrated at the tin pot clubs that fly up the leagues and look at us playing Farsley or Curzon. However I personally would now only ever to sell to a proper fan who won the euro millions or a legitimate local millionaire with strong ties and a local reputation. Simon Nixon, Steve Morgan as 2 SPECULATIVE examples.

If you think where we were in 2010, if you said there would be another Wrexham fixture I wouldn't have believed you so it's hilarious not only did we catch them up we actually beat them with our pub team, 3 times! So never say never.

Look, I think it's hard not to be a tad envious, at least of the short-term security it brings. Hand on heart, I am very proud of us being a supporter-owned club and it would be very difficult for me to let go of that. I do think you're becoming a bit of a showbiz circus and that would do my head in a bit. Surely we all at some point chose to support Chester or Wrexham rather than our more glamorous neighbours, and that was probably because of the community and social aspects that came with it, and possibly even the low-key nature of it all. But I get that your immediate future is more exciting than ours.

There is a whole media circus around us at the moment, given who are owners are. But they are already doing a lot of more mundane things that don't get the press exposure and that link into community projects and Wrexham as a whole. They are putting their money where their mouths are and despite a lot of people (especially on DC) expecting this to all go wrong, they haven't put a foot wrong yet. Its starting to look like we have just been exceptionally lucky.

Seems like Phil Parkinson (not the Alty manager) will be Wrexham’s new boss. Potentially good appointment for them if true. Experienced and his achievements such as getting Colchester promoted to the Championship and Bradford to the League Cup final shouldn’t be underestimated.
Looking in from the outside, guess the slight question marks would be how much does he know about the National League and if he will stick around if a decent-sized EFL club comes calling. Given that his last two jobs were Bolton and Sunderland, it’s certainly not out of the question. Wrexham can no doubt offer an attractive salary and ambition, but what they can’t change overnight is that the fixture list includes the likes of Boreham Wood and Maidenhead rather than Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich.

Think they’ve gone for the wrong Phil Parkinson for this level - Alty’s ex-Nantwich boss would be a better choice for that league, not sure the ex-EFL dugout-hopper would work but then it’s Shaun Harvey running the show at their club now and he obviously only knows people in EFL circles.
They need to get this appointment right, they need the right manager who knows these leagues and the sort of players that will be required. Steve Burr on their budget would be a good shout.

Wrexham fans annoyed that Tik Tok (UK) are supporting England. You really couldn’t make it up. 2400 shirts sold in 1st 2 days can't be bad. As for Tik Tok sponsoring not supporting England well done let's hope they would also support other home nations if they progressed in Cup competition. An existing shirt sponsor clearly indicated that the starting bid for this seasons WAFC front of shirt sponsor was $3M plus that they could not afford . Happy Times!!!!!

I don't know why they don't give you promotion now rather than wait until the end of the season. How many points do you get for selling 2400 shirts? Is it as many as you get for having massive floodlights?
