Lloyd Marsh-Hughes joins Runcorn Linnets on loan linkCould have been so different if he scored against Marske in the first game, huge chance missed that !

It’s what LMH needs. Has struggled to even register his presence on the pitch in all the games I have seen this season. Hope this helps him push on.

Promising at times but didn't score many and had a lot of very quiet and ineffective games for us. Holroyd went on to have a decent career in the game after dropping down a division or two and hopefully Lloyd will do the same.

Decent size and pace. Make a decent runs. For some reason he doesn't look as if he knows where or when to make runs for the first team. It sure why not. Maybe we should use his attributes better?? Maybe he's not up to this standard?? The one area where improvement is needed is his finishing. Let's hope for him and us that he has a good loan spell. If anyone knows Lloyd, it's Callum.

I feel like LMH has something but he's been pretty poor on the recent occasions I've seen him - he's had some glaring chances and missed them. Hopefully he scores a few for Callum and gets some confidence.

When I've seen him he's looked scared to get stuck in. He's a big lad and should be able to use his physical attributes to his advantage, but he just doesn't seem to. Hopefully an extended rum at a lower level can help him to learn how to do that.

Well we haven’t replaced him since he left, other than a loan spell for Redshaw.
Two goals in the first half tonight, five in seven and a half league games so far.

Him and Redshaw would be a great front 2 with Dudley in there too. Fair play to him, don’t think the managers fancied him too much but he’s done well at Alfreton, Hartlepool and Boston

Best move for all parties in my opinion. You can’t argue that Lloyd hasn’t had chances to shine this season, because he has had numerous opportunities to make a name for himself but unfortunately he has failed to deliver. If he buried that chance away at Marske United then it could’ve been a completely different story, but he didn’t so I really hope he will start banging in the goals so he can return here with a point to prove. Runcorn Linnets have made an excellent start to the new Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One West campaign under the stewardship of Calum McIntyre, and I’m sure Calum knows Lloyd very well so let’s hope he will bring out the best of him. He had an impressive pre-season for us last year so he obviously has something about him, but he just has to step up in league and cup games when it really matters because that is what has let him down thus far. Good luck Lloyd!

Good luck to the lad. I saw some youth games where he was clearly far stronger than the opposition and played with a swagger, knowing he could bulldoze his way through and cause havoc. I'd imagine playing men's football is a different kettle of fish, but he has the raw attributes to succeed. Hopefully he'll come back better for it.

Any forward would struggle in our team this season.
Once the midfielders find their form the goals will come again but the lack of quality service would destroy any forward and he's best out of it for now.

Asante would still be banging them in. The man is a goal machine, even if he misses a third of the season due to injury. That is the quality of the man, best striker we had at this club since Daryl Clare. Michael Wilde for those more pedantic of Chester fans.

Other strikers would have had loads this season,
There’s been so many occasions when I’ve seen our players just try and pass it into the net, just need to put some power behind them and get it on target.

He seems to have a habit of scoring in flurries, so he might get two in one game and then two in the next then not score for say four games. He’s ok for this level but was clearly found out in the league above.

Listened to AJ on the TFNFS and it really didn't sound promising then so if nothing has happened by now at a guess it is dead in the water but who knows. Who ever the player is he doesn't sound like he is in a rush to sign for us so the best we can hope for is some loans players coming in.

Jonno pointing out at the lack of width, we do need a wide player, someone like that would walk in to the side. Hopefully we’ll know by next week, Tuesday maybe, to give them some training time with us ahead of the next league game.

Jonno and Bern said at the CFU meeting last week the player asked for 10 days to think about dropping a division, as he wanted to stay full time. We only had one game in that period. He was a loan signing too.

He was a loan signing too. Is that Emmanuel Dieseruvwe? No names were given for obvious reasons. Best to keep quiet in case someone else realises he might be available and nicks him. Doubt it was Mani though, as didn't fit the description. The incoming player was also to be a loan signing.
