More likely to be liquidated, let’s be honest. If Scunthorpe start well they could be out of sight by New Year. If they don't, it could be a really bad place to be. Bit like afc Fylde on steroids. Would agree with that, going to be a very difficult season for us. However worth noting that whilst Scunthorpe are putting together a side capable of winning the NL, they might not even have a ground come the start of the season.

It’s going to be a difficult season for us because Scunthorpe have spent money they haven’t really got? Our squad is more than good enough to compete with anyone in this awful league.

Could go one way or the other with Scunthorpe. You'd probably have to make them favourites but I'm pretty sure they're going to fold in the next three years or so.

I'd recommend you all take a look at Scunthorpe's fans forum. Few interesting reads on there. Some of them aren't sure where this money is coming from and like lobster said, there's a bit of talk about a phoenix club on there. Presumably Scunny fans know a lot more about their club than we do, maybe this isn't the season we're all expecting from them. It's going to go two ways IMO, clear by christmas or bust by christmas.

We’ve got players who are more than capable in playing NL so I don’t fear them and if they get off to a bad start it’ll be toxic up there quickly. Weeks, Whitehouse, Williams, Coates, Taylor, Caton etc are NL calibre players. I reckon we both a) pay them well for this level and b) they know we’re a force and with a proper fan base behind them, could be up there all year. Scunthorpe is a shit hole too so I doubt any of the new lads are living with a 50 mile radius of it so good luck with match day commutes and training (although I think they train miles away anyway)

It’s been a disastrous few months for Kings Lynn Them and Chorley so far, but at least Chorley have actually made a couple of signings. On the subject of signing new players, Scunthorpe seem intent in setting some kind of record - 'We are expecting to conclude deals for the signing of an additional three players next week'.

It’s been a disastrous few months for Kings Lynn Peculiar with them I feel as end of last year the owner basically slated off the fan base for not supporting the team when they were challenging for the league and making it out as if he had enough. Now they’ve lost all them players makes me feel like whether he can be arsed still pumping money into the club to not go up again anyway

Alfreton sign midfielder Liam Waldock from Gainsborough for an undisclosed fee. Signing number nine arrives as winger James Oliver joins from Belper. The player returns to the Impact Arena just a few months after leaving.
Banbury sign Cheshunt FC forward Ken Charles, which came as a bit surprise to Cheshunt who took to twitter to state - 'Interesting 🤔 @kendoo9_ is contracted to Cheshunt Football Club. We have received no official approach from @banburyunitedfc'
Bishop's Stortford sign defender Billy Cracknell from Cheshunt and midfielder Archie Jones from Spalding. both players had previously played for Stortford on loan from EFL clubs during the 21/22 season.
Brackley sign midfielder Dom McHale after he leaves Gloucester.
Chorley sign defender Jonah Kampos-Green supposedly from Viktoria Köln U19 - although, a player with the same name appeared at the back end of last season as a substitute for Glossop North End.
Darlington sign forward Mitchell Curry following his return to the country from the USA. Curry signed for Inter Miami in 2021. On the downside Curry failed to make an appearence for Miami, instead he was farmed out to Fort Lauderdale's second team before being released. On the upside it appears that both the Neville and Beckham families took him under their wings whilst he was in the states, he spent Thanksgiving with the Neville family and he counts Romeo Beckham as a friend - “The whole thing was surreal... especially with David Beckham. For a lad from Sunderland to be going around his house. Last weekend, I went down to the family house and stayed there with them to watch Romeo at Brentford and David’s there making breakfast!"
Farsley sign Forward Marley Blair who had been plying his trade in Iceland with Keflavík. Farsley Chairman Paul Barthorpe stated that - “This is probably a first for Farsley, in recruiting a player directly from the Icelandic Premier League, but it’s a testament to our scouting and player recruitment team that we have been able to not only identify talented players from far and wide but have been able to bring them to the club too".
Gloucester become the ninth different club in nine years to sign Elliott Durrell.
Hereford sign a former team mate of the Bulls new manager, central defender Nathan Cameron who finished last season at Telford, and defender Jordan Cranston following his release from Fylde.
Spennymoor sign former Grimsby defender/winger/forward Owen Gallacher following his release from the Mariners. Grimsby signed him on a short term contract in February 23.

Banbury's first signing is defender Jack Davies, following his release from MKD. Davies spent last season on loan at his former club Oxford City, as well as Concord Rangers. Bishops Stortford sign central defender Marvel Ekpiteta, who returns to his old club from Billericay Town. Boston sign midfielder Keaton Ward after reaching 'undisclosed agreement' with Kettering. Brackley sign defender Jay Williams from Banbury, manager Gavin Cowan -“Jay is a real coup for us having had a brilliant season. We’ve managed to get ahead of a few others for his signature as he has really bought into what we want to do here".Hereford sign forward Jason Cowley for an undisclosed fee from Stourbridge. The 29yr old scored 29 goals for Stourbridge last season. Rushall Olympic sign former EFL winger Jake Gosling, who spent last season at Bristol Manor Farm FC. South Shields sign forward Luke James who was released by York City. Spennymoor complete what they describe as, 'a huge transfer coup', as goalkeeper James Montgomery joins from Gateshead. Montgomery had been in contract renewal talks prior to signing for Moors. Tamworth re-sign Jordan Cullinane-Liburd from Brackley. The defender left Tamworth to join Brackley in 2020. Also joining the Lambs are centre half Brad Gascoigne whose last club was Kettering, former EFL midfielder Callum Reilly who played for Banbury last season and winger Lindon Meikle, who last season, was on loan at the club from Buxton. Very rare, but one month on Brackley have sold Jay Williams to Crawley for an undisclosed fee.

We might bring in a couple on loan or non-contracts but we haven't got a lot to play with unfortunately. It's been a tough summer, a really difficult summer, but the lads we've brought in, we've brought some real quality in, lads who are established who will play at this level no problem. We just have to stay clear of injuries, touch wood." Earlier in the year, when discussing the £160,000+ raised by fans for their boost the budget campaign, Armstrong stated that without those funds his budget would be mid to lower end of the table in the division below. Gloucester City sign central midfielder Kartell Dawkins from Bromsgrove Sporting and defender Ioan Richards from Yate Town. Richards is another player returning for the second time having played for Gloucester a couple of years ago. Spennymoor sign goalkeeper Michael Roxburgh following his release from Huddersfield.

Update from Hereford on veteran forward Andy Williams, whose signing from Walsall at the beginning of July, was described as "a real coup for our football club", by new manager Paul Caddis -
'FOLLOWING Andy Williams’ injury against West Bromwich Albion, he was sent for a scan on Friday and then had a follow-up specialist appointment late yesterday afternoon to determine the severity of the injury.
As a result of that appointment, the specialist has suggested a minor operation to clean up a bit of damage on Andy’s meniscus cartilage.
At this point the time frame for Andy’s return is not certain, but it is likely to be months rather than weeks.
Andy will no doubt have the support of everyone during his recuperation and we look forward to seeing him return to full health as early as possible.'

Banbury sign left back from Swedish division 2 side Eskilstuna City. The Somalian International is, apparently, Mo Farah's cousin. Also joining the club is former Sunderland Under-23 midfielder Tom Scott.
