Nobody gives a shit what you think you sanctimonious arse hat. You never attend games anyway and seem the think Cal and the club owe you a debt of gratitude. Bore off Not defending his opinion here but, let's not start spinning yarns over a lack of support. The bloke and his family are season ticket holders and have been for years. Some proper personal vendettas on heređđ.

Amazes me that even after a terrific performance certain posters can't help themselves but find fault in something. Think Iâve explained it to be fair. As I said, whether it was a heat of the moment thing or what but juxtaposing a few negative comments on social media in one sentence and saying the 300+ who were there last night are âthe real fansâ in the next sentence didnât look good to some of us. Heâs a passionate guy, post-match interviews can be clouded a bit by emotions as we know. Not a competition, but fanbase is divided a bit enough as it is as shown by various threads on here - where some people arenât allowed to call a spade a spade after a poor performance and a defeat without others jumping on them; likewise some do go well over the top talking of us not being a playoff side etc. Like to think Iâm pretty level-headed and donât get too OTT in defeat or in victory - but that specific phrase rankled with me when it was uttered in the same breath as having a pop at negative comments on the socials, thatâs all. As Al said above you can disagree with my opinion but donât start making up absolute rubbish about me not going to any games or having an axe to grind with the manager.

Frank who's the some of us đ¤ as your the only one on here that's taken offence to what Cal said or are you the nominated spokesperson for the silent majority In fairness, I agree with him regarding the bit highlighted - and I think Calum is brilliant and a breath of fresh air! I just wish he'd not get too wound up by social media. It could be seen as getting wound up or it could be seen as using it as motivation. His interviews after games often have an air of "that shut you up, didn't it?" about them. I don't care really as long as we're winning. I don't know who in particular is riling him, whether it's posts on here, some of the perennial whingers in the Main Stand or the crowd who don't even know we're playing and just see on their Facebook feed that we're 1-0 down to Buxton and start droning on about Sealand Road and Stuart Rimmer. Maybe he's got a point that some people have too much to say in proportion to how much they invest in the club and I'm probably in that crowd myself, just something about old-fashioned forums I find addictive - much more so than social media which I've had enough of. I try and keep it fair, factual and constructive though. I'm not always sure about how he comes across after a win, but I'd be happy to hear it again on Saturday!

Absolutely ludicrous take that is. He has dedicated the win to the 300 or so people who went there through Storm whatever, fought the M6 and cheered their side on in an absolute shithole of a place. You feel offended because you go to home games, and lets be honest that is only when you can be arsed. Should Cal have dedicated the win to those who sat at home and watched on Firestick? You are one really entitled man, who seems to have an axe to grind with what is our most popular manager of recent years. I know you love to take the polar opposite view of what the majority of people support, but do us all a favour and get off Cals back. Its getting boring. Those who went there last night were the real hardcore, like it or not. We all contribute in our own way, but we also all know people who go everywhere through good, bad form, rain, sleet and wind. Last night was their reward for that money, time and effort. Who the fuck are you to deny them? I actually thought that was one of the best bits of his interview, where he heaped praise on the fans who went. I went to those sort of games for years but life/priorities change and I mainly just do home games now, but I remember the sacrifice it took financially and taking time off work and away from family etc, so it's only right that the absolute hardcore of our support base are singled out for some special praise from time to time. I agree, they should be praised for their support OBVIOUSLY, but it was the way of the phrase âthe real fansâ immediately following having a pop at negativity on social media that rankled me thatâs all. That was different to the usual praise of away support in interviews. And Iâm 1000% pro-Cal before NHNP gets in his usual huff about it. No idea where he got that I have an axe to grind with the manager from any of my posting history. Itâs actually the polar opposite! Absolutely bizarre.

Anyway, was only a point I wanted to pick up on. Cal, love you to bits, but if youâre reading this - please stop. Donât let the talk on the socials and on here manifest in your head. Too many post-match interviews have a bit of a hang-up of what fans on social media are saying lately. Ignore the noise đ
Superb win, tactically spot on. On to KLT on Saturday to keep this momentum going. Iâm gonna say it⌠itâs a game we should win.

Buxton beaten at home by Warrington 6-0. Makes you wonder. Do two fit forwards make THAT much difference? Yes. Completely changes the way you play. Just like when Kev Roberts isnât playing or is having an off day we never look defensively solid enough

It shows that what we have achieved so far has been, in general, pretty impressive, if not always pretty.

I think it was AGL who said it before, but it does seem to be first goal wins with our matches at the moment. Preece mentions it in his interview that the first goal instilled self belief. You can see why it's so important, because we haven't been scoring many. Think we've only won once after conceding first (maybe drawn three) but not lost if scoring first (feel free to correct me on that). Hereford 1-2

Really like the uncut highlights, some great shots close up to play and different angles of goals / celebrations that you rarely get at this level.
On the post match, as someone else says I think Cal saves those sort of interviews after a key win. Heâs probably been holding some of those comments in as heâs been very calm even after the losses recently, after a win like that heâs shut up a lot of the moaners (hopefully). Listened to him on a Seals Live pod recently and he pretty much admits that heâs not great in the heat of the moment after a game, understandable really, adrenaline through the roof.
Also loved a few of the sly digs at Chorley, have that

Thought Glendon was phenomenal yesterday. Winning the ball and driving the team forward. Very impressive performance from him and the majority of the team. Heâs in a great run of form overall, often crucial to the way we press (when we do press⌠much more effective last night than in recent games helped by Caton and Peers back in the side). Do feel in home games against sides lower down the league who play the low block, he and Weeks are trying too hard to overplay the passing and we end up not getting anywhere - as shown in recent games of poor performances and results. But the tactics and system last night were spot on, worked a treat. Probably best overall team performance of the season that, and Glendon was a key part of it.

Quick word on Stanway & the defenders, another clean sheet. Remarkable defensive record. According to his Twitter feed that is Stanwayâs 17th clean sheet. Get his contract extended. Out of interest does anyone know how Stanways stats compare to Tylers by league games played so far?

Superb win that. Chorley are a really useful side on their day and a draw would have been a good result given the conditions etc. Credit to those that went, I didn't even want to go in the back garden to tie my bins up. As for Cal, it's been a frustrating time for him and I think that one is just letting off a bit of steam. It was only a week or two ago he did an interview praising the support on a whole. Which isn't easy given those weird morons in the east stand who constantly barrack him and the team. Said it after the previous game that if we could find some form there is no reason why the team can't win the play offs. We can beat anybody in this division on our day, as we have proven this season.

Statement win and a superb away performance from start to finish. Once again we went to a strong, in-form side and done a job on them, as Chorley had previously won six in a row at home. We started off on the front foot by creating some dangerous chances, while we played some attractive stuff in and around the Chorley penalty area. Tom Peers was the difference with two very-well taken finishes. He started up front with Charlie Caton for the first time this season, and if we can keep those two fit, then I really canât see why we canât go on to finish third. Defensively we were excellent as usual to pick up our 17th clean sheet of the campaign. Nathan Woodthorpe had a very solid and promising debut, so hopefully heâll keep performing like that, as itâs always good to have healthy competition for places. A fab win at Victory Park which keeps us up in fourth, and weâre beginning to cement ourselves in the play-offs now, which is important and pleasing to see considering we had a very inconsistent start to January. Just need to back this up with another three points at Kingâs Lynn, which is a match we really need to be winning if we want to remain at the top end of the table. Great night to be a Blue.

I've never seen us win so many second balls as we did in the first half. Weeks and Whitehouse in particular were dervishes, never stopping and we gave Chorley no time on the ball at all. Clearly a clinical striker makes all the difference to us and Peers was fantastic with the finishes and his all round hustle. I think the 90 mins would have done Charlie Caton good. He was blowing a bit at the end, but still never stopped. One for the older supporters - Woodthorpe's delivery to the far post for Daly early in the second half was so reminiscent of his Dad from back in the 1980s! Lovely ball and deserved a goal. Overall a brave, determined and confident performance that thoroughly deserved 3 points - even Andy Preece agreed we were the better team and that would have been tough for him to admit! Woodthorpe senior was a cracking player, remember that freekick he scored in the Freight Rover Trophy Northern final home leg, I think it was against Mansfield, after we knocked the goats out in the semifinal. Sadly, we lost the away leg 2-0. The closest we've ever come to Wembley.
