Surely we get the 3 points today to confirm their relegation and set up another must win game at Brackley next week . I’m going to be optimistic and go for a 4-1 win and an enjoyable afternoon. Not sure cash is an option so will buy ticket online to be safe . I will estimate 327 blues given are hardcore away support plus southern based supporters who I’m sure would have targeted today’s game when the fixtures were published . See everyone there

It's just as well Gloucester's pitch is artificial as it's taking a real pounding over the next few weeks with Truro and Taunton both playing there as well.
Truro are actually playing on it after us at 7:30pm tonight, and then they'll still have another six games to play there before April 18. Each of these "home" games is a 400-mile round trip!

Both teams need to win so should be a decent game.
We should win this today and keep ourselves in the play off picture, which will look different by 5pm today with 6 teams above us playing each other.
Gloucester 0- 1 Chester. Burke scoring in front of 300 Blues.

I think the train issues today will put many off so around 180 blues there to witness a narrow 2-1 win.

Couple of things.
We only have an OK record against teams around the bottom of the table.
We don’t really have anything to play for (I can’t see us finishing in the playoffs rightly or wrongly).
Our form, barring one game, is terrible.
I’m actually going.
Therefore a draw is the best we can hope for. 1-1. Murray to score.

I’m not going today so I’ll predict a 0-3 demolition job. Weeks, Murray & Peers to score.

A rare treat of a local game for me today, though our record there hasn't been great on previous visits.
Dry but pretty windy here atm. Any Blues looking to park might use the nearby Sainsbury's - free parking, and just across the main road to get to the ground, which is quite tucked away. From memory there's a (admittedly not particularly good) pub on the traffic lights of the main road there too.

Our form is not much better than their league position - but in the usual Chester way I suspect we will be tortured with hope only to be let down at last minute. So I suspect we will win today (0-2) and at Brackley only to mess up the Darlo game and miss out on play offs on the last day of the season. 😔

Just gotta forgot about it and go for it today. Win the last three games and I reckon we'll make it.

Just needs to go for it. Would rather we attacked and lost 3.0 with a different lineup than a 1-1 draw picking the same ineffective side. It really doesn’t matter at this stage.

Loads of trains. That's good then. I saw one return train had been cancelled and warnings about XC trains being packed and only travel if vital. I must admit I would have gone but didn't want to get stranded on the way back. Have a great trip and bring back the 3 points

We need an absolute miracle to make the play-offs, and I just can’t see it happening I’m afraid. Even three wins may not be enough, but I’m still going to attend our final three games and support the boys. Monday was an absolute car crash against Alfreton Town, as we didn’t turn up, plus there was no desire or fighting spirit out there on the pitch. Calum McIntyre’s right that we need to bring in the right personnel, as we had some passengers on Monday who were just going through the motions, so we need a big clear-out in the Summer. Gloucester City will be relegated if they fail to win this afternoon, which’d be a shame for them as they’re a decent club who’ve been through a lot in recent years, after losing the previous version of Meadow Park due to a flood. I think we’ll turn up this afternoon and will find our shooting boots, to keep our slim hopes of a top seven finish alive.
Score - Gloucester City (Wright) 1-3 Chester FC (Murray, Burke, Glendon).
Attendance - 992 (234 Chester FC).

2-0 to Gloucester, finally nailing the play-off question dead for us. This calendar year has been disappointing to say the least and the autopsy on our failed promotion hopes can begin.

Not 100% writing us off just yet….
Pump these dossers 3-1 and win the last 2, with a few results going in our favour.
I’ll have a Glendon hat trick today to send his hate club into disarray.

If we avoid tippy tappy side to side backwards passing footy, we will win handsomely today. It wouldn’t be CFC if they don’t make us sweat until the last day of the season.
3-0 to the Blues. Tollit, Williams and Burke. 203 super Blues in attendance.
