Why would he go there? I'm pretty sure that he will get fixed up with a league club.

If he does half as good as agent Rooney then I'll be pleased.

No idea why but I've a funny feeling he'll end up at Wrexham. They're looking for strikers his options are diminishing all the time. Hope not like but just a feeling. Got that feeling also and Keates has put offers to a couple of strikers maybe Alabi is one of them. Alabi is looking to progress and not take a backwards step.

He left you lot at the end of last season *wakka wakka* @rio- I'm pretty sure we aren't after Mangan. That's just forum talk, his name gets thrown in every season and has since he played for us.

It was a joke. Light-hearted banter. Before you get all huffy I think your ground is fine it was just for comic effect. I can see that this is a dreadfully serious place and I've made a grave error in judgement.

I think I'm a fairly laid back person, but I'm not familiar with the Phrase *wakka wakka*.
Might be to do with my sexagenarian status.

Yes I don't post on here to take cheap pops at your club, rivals or not. I can't stand people doing that. If you go on someone elses forum you have to show them a bit of respect. I come here because I'm interested in all rival clubs in our league. If I was Keates I'd definitely be interested in Alabi as I think he has real potential- I'd imagine he'll end up at a league club, although whether he makes it or not is another matter! Will probably be at Barrow next season on loan.

He made a very good living out of football without ever making it in league football. He was allegedly on £1,500 a week when he played for us.

An opposite from around the same time is Anthony Elding, who always seemed a bit of a carthorse in the Conference, but then moved to Stockport and went on to have a decent career in the League, including a brief spell at Leeds. Not sure whether Alabi could make it in the League, but he does have potential. It depends if a manager can get the best out of him.

Don't know why but I can see Alabi rocking up at Prenton Park. This is my feeling as well. They've lost Stockton and Stephenson and only have Cook and Norwood with no-one coming through the ranks.

Interested to see where James turns up. I think he will be disappointed if it is not a FL club.
One player I'm not too bothered to see leave. The quality of his replacements looks good, and he is a player I found very frustrating to watch at times.
If we can bank a few bob out of it everyones a winner.

If we can bank a few bob out of it everyones a winner . i guess the next big test for us as a football club, is who we can bring through and develop into cash in the bank. We've been successful this year with Alabi and notably Hughes. Next season, we will have Hannah leading the line guarenteed, with lots of other experienced players around him, not an awful lot of younger players will be touching the starting 11. Astles and James are two players of an age we may get offers on if they play well, especially given James' two year deal. Personally, i'd love to see a fit Akintunde and Waters given a chance on player Mahon left midfield so he can cut inside. They are two that could make this season their own and are at an age to do so. Not sure about Nathan Brown this season, but i think we may see bits of him too.

Be funny even if he did go to our dear friends I really wouldn't begrudge him got him for nowt sold 30k and he is genuinely a nice guy not like that judas Rooney sold for 30k..... where is that from? he would move on to another club for a development fee and that would depend on a number of factors including the contract offered at his current club is better than the one he had last term.... with the calibre of players keats has signed so far if alabi moves down the road it will be as a back up i don't think he would be be first choice. word is a currently contracted striker is signing next week..... i think he will move on as i have been told the wage budget has been spent and there would be no money to pay him..... don't know how true that is!! and as far as rooney is concerned he moved on from wrexham who received a five figure payment when Guiseley stayed up together with saving a substantial amount not paying his wages.

You've only got Chris Holroyd (who we released years ago) as a striking option, so how are you so flush with choice.

You can guarantee the reason Guiseley is the only word in that post using a capital letter is because you had to google it to spell it.
