Think he will do ok in a decent team, even if he's a bench player will still score double figures

Alabi is on Tranmere's sponsorship page for shirt, laces etc. Shame they couldn't spell his name though! 😂 all but confirmed now... James's surname has been misspelt that many times, it surely won't be long before he does actually start to be used as a piece of evidence in courtrooms.

Arseholes don't want to pay 20K? I hope the board push this as they would have done with the Hughes deal. We mainly need a sell on clause.

A lot of bitter cfc fans replying to the trfc alabi signing announcement on twitter saying he's crap etc. I disagree. He was starting to flourish and mature towards the end of the season and he was only going to get better. He sometimes struggled playing up top on his own with 40 yard balls pinged at him (as any national league striker would). He'll do well in what should be a dominant tranmere side next season, if he's given the chance alongside their 4 other strikers that is.

I don't think we've done ourselves any favours by making it public knowledge that any more incomings would be dependant on any money we would receive for sale of Alabi. Any tribunal will take a while to resolve now and in the meantime we've pretty much got to manage with what we've got even when we are short of a backup keeper and defensive cover.

Aye think about it. Tranmere can mess around with us and delay things, as they know it will delay their rivals in recruiting their last few players, so they know they can make us weaker.

As I have said I hoped Alabi would have chosen us Wrexham but no he wanted to play at a higher level. Are tranmere that much bigger than any team in this poxy league. I think some players think they are better than they are. Your players made Alabi will he get the service there. I think agents over sell there players obviously put Barnet off. If your going to improve your self you have to be in league football who says tranmere will get any closer this time. Better to be a big fish in small pool than a tiddler in a big one. Big mistake for me but we will see.

Surely not an issue. The large part of the civilised world spend money before they earn it, without a problem. Imagine waiting 25 years living in a tent until you have saved up to buy a house!! Strike while the iron is hot for goodness sake. Neither Sam Hughes or James Alabi cost us anything. If we can't speculate over a simple issue like this then the club doesn't live in the real world.

I think whether it was public or not, it was pretty obvious that we'd spent a majority of budget with the quality of lads brought in. We may now have to settle for a loan keeper and young defender, and hopefully sign Dawson on a one year under the assumption we will get the 10k Barnet offered at Tribunal as a bare minimum.

I hope he does well at Tranmere, although their are a few big heads in their team. I really do hope, though, that we get a fee very soon as we need some back up players and I would like to see Dawson sign on. Good luck Alabi, you will always have my respect! 🔵⚪️

The Kingsley James tribunal was about four months after he left us, well into the season.
The big question will be has Maguire done the right thing by rejecting Barnet's offer in January? Only the outcome of the tribunal will tell us that.

Of course Mark made the right decision rejecting Barnet's offer. Without Alabi's goals after Christmas we would have been relegated.
