This protest has nothing to do with Palestine. It is the anniversary of the Greek Polytechnic uprising of 1973, which the right wing military Junta brutally put down, murdering 40 people and arresting thousands.
It is commemorated every year but this year the Greek government arbitrarily detained over a hundred people without charge ahead of the traditional marches, sparking the trouble.
