Weeks has been crap for quite a while now yet Glendon gets the stick .
Need to drop weeks and play Glendon right up behind the forwards where he will get goals

Glendon and Weeks are chronic. Need a ball carrier in that midfield, someone who can take the ball past a man and make progress. The only man able to do so in that squad is Burke.
Buxton needn't have resorted to such shithousery. They'll not defend a lead as easy as that for the rest of the season.

Someone mentioned it above, it’s really strange that the likes of Hancox and Turner were signed in the summer after playing every week for better teams than us, yet they can’t get a sniff. Too many of the usual X1 are not performing. Bit like Cal wants to be best mates rather than the manager. Time to grow a set and let them know they aren’t first on the team sheet. Can’t wait for the usual post match interview about squad depth, budget, blame me not the players blah blah which has nothing to do with tactics and team selection |

Terrible first half one of the worst.
Improved abit second half but still nowhere near good enough.
Glendon is just crap and needs to be drooped and Weeks is getting worse, constantly either passing it sideways or back, not sure if that's Cals tactics or not but it's getting very tedious to watch. Need to see a massive improvement in the next couple of games otherwise the fans will turn on Cal.

Cal will always play weeks and glendon and if possible Murray too no matter how out of form they are or poor they they have been if i can defend Murray yes hes not brilliant but he will always try and at least win us a few fouls but i do tend to agree hes playing at least two levels above what he should be playing apparently though he and cal are best friends so its dodgy with Murray |

First half is as abject as I've seen since the Jon McCarthy days. Horrible team selection and terrible effort and lack of performance. Weeks had an absolute shocker and we'll never get anywhere with Glendon as captain. The goals have dried up too. Concerning times. The buck stops with the manager, but unfortunately he's here until the summer of 2026. |

He'd have been long gone but how long should Cal be given?? He's not learning from his previous mistakes & he's in his 3rd season now. Weeks & Glendon doesn't work yet he's to obdurate or oblivious to see. Bainbridge was a big loss tonight but you can't rely on one player to do all the dirty work. I'm losing faith in him to be honest & those boos were fully justified both at half time & full time tonight. |

Ok u s we were rubbish tonite but a video should be sent to the National league about the way the Buxton players delayed the penalty for nearly five minutes.Three players tries to scuff the penalty spot,all the players continued to main and wander round the box and the crazy referee just let them get on with it!! Then the goalie,who had already been booked for time wasting,was miles away from his goal as Kurt placed the ball on the spot.If clubs were fined or even given a points deduction maybe they would think twice of acting do disgracefully.Rant over!!??

Nah as the home team against some bottom of the league jobbers, the onus is on us to dominate the game and score a few goals so that the opposition can’t shithouse their way to a narrow win. Buck stops with Cal. We can't afford another shite mid table season like last season, either results pick up or we part ways end of the season. With this squad we should be right up there pushing for promotion. Third year in and we're just stagnant. No life about us, its boring dreary anti football Not convinced that's the case. We've got some good players, but there's not really a balanced squad. Most people seem to agree on the midfield issues. We need another runner in there. Someone who can do box to box, win the ball and pass it. Unfortunately the combination of the players we have in there create the kind of game we saw first half tonight. We've no real target man and not enough men get into the box. Buxton early on had 4 in 5 men in or round our box when they got the ball wide. Often we had only Willoughby and then Glendon making a run. Neither wide man really got in there. Cal isn't making it easy for his players to perform. Too many don't have the people around them to help them, as the balance just isn't right. I can see Mottley-Henry being a waste of a signing. If I was Hancox I'd be wondering whether I'll ever get a game after not being selected tonight. Somehow Cal has to find a way to balance the squad, find a way of playing, and creating chances. Just shoving 3 players forward and hoping we score goals, hasn't solved the apparent issues. I actually agree with Frank's earlier comments regarding Willoughby two seasons ago. Willoughby's quality finishing that season often papered over our shortcomings. The danger is, we now keep making changes to correct what went wrong in the previous game, but the next game is a different challenge. |
