So we are averaging 1.3 points per game. Season is 46 games so the total would be 61 or 62 points. The extra hour had thrown me! Yes 46 games be around 61/62 points which gets you around 12-14th over the last two seasons. Our record over our actual last 46 games against opposition from this league is slightly better, but not much - 65 points, or 1.41 PPG. Over the last five seasons, that’d equate to finishes of 11th, 11th, 11th, 13th and 12th. We’ve also scored 56 goals in that time (which would be our lowest tally since relegation) and conceded 44 (more than in either of Cal’s full seasons, but fewer than in any of Bern and Jonno’s seasons).

Dear Santa - here is my list for Xmas:
1) I would like to wake up on 25th Dec with Chester on 30+ points and everyone looking back at the Curzon game fondly as the game after which Cal had his epiphany. 2) No post Xmas slump and at least playoffs come end of season.
Not too much to ask is it? 🙏 🎅

What's the feeling about young Harrison? Might it be time to reinstate Cam Mason? Promising keeper, but very young and a few errors lately.

Will be a good test of character playing with our lot 😎

Usually I’m the first to admit we need investment but this season it’s nothing to do with money it’s to do with repetitive negative tactics. Our summer recruitment was the strongest we’ve had since being back down here Said before Cal got appointed the best option to take us back to the NL would be someone experienced like Jim Gannon Christ, if Billy Heath and Jim Gannon who *checks notes* hasn't managed for nearly three years, are two of the suggestions, my suggestion would be to give Cal - a lifelong Chester fan, a new five year contract. Ive said this on numerous occasions in the past, but if anyone on here or who supports Chester in general ever thought the football would be any different than you're seeing now you clearly never watched his youth teams in action. The difference was, he had a target man in Tom Peers (who was bigger than most kids then), LMH and Will Goodwin leading the line for him. All big lumps that could all move at that level. Hes a very pragmatic manager that is so risk averse that he'd rather set up not to lose and hopefully pinch a goal than to try anything to win at any cost. What we're seeing and have seen over the last few seasons is the body of work that Cal has prided his coaching on ever since first starting his coaching journey. At a club like ours, it just doesn't work. As many have said, wed put up with losing games if we knew we were doing everything to try to win.I agree with most on here with regards to Glendon and Weeks, in that they're a conundrum that he hasn't ever solved. DW had his best season under Cal when GG was injured and then when GG had his best season last year, DW underperformed. So far this season, both have been very poor and in my opinion DW more than GG. They have to go! The only way back for Cal now is to see the error of his ways with the two aforementioned players and move them on and at least show that he's taking onboard what everyone else is seeing. Except that was how things were under Bern & Jonno & they got pelters from it “Bill & Ben” etc

Think we’ve found the next scapegoat.
The lads kept 7 clean sheets. He isn’t the issue. Mason played 2 games (I think) and looked bang average at best.

Having had a bit of time to look back on Saturdays performance and result, I'm still fed up. Opinions should never become personal and aggressive and should remain respectful.
Since Cal Mac has been manager, i've bought a season ticket every season, I've bought extra retro shirts, hats and plenty of merchandise, even when money was tight, i've been finding it probably around £2500 all in, over 2 and half seasons. so in my opinion I've supported the club and the manager as much as i can do. So if I'm not happy with the way things are going I feel fully entitled to have moan about it. I just get annoyed there seems to be so many do gooders who get arsey when you dare to criticise the manager or players when things are going badly.
Let's be honest the back end of last season was awful, nowhere near good enough.
And the same pattern i.e formations and tactics seem to be prevalent this season too. I have nearly lost faith in Callum as manager as things are no different to the back of last season. I really want to see the club promoted and CM be the guy to make it happen but it is starting to look like it'll never work out. But I'll be there every game, trying my best to be positive and support the players, some of whom have been awful this season but I'll be there singing and clapping them on. The crowds have still been 2000+ . Callum and the players have had plenty of support. They now need to show a reaction and show they're learning from mistakes(doesn't feel the case)
I can't remember the last home game where it felt entertaining,.maybe this saturday against hereford will change that .

On balance over all the games this season Harrison has been much better than Mason. Harrison’s last couple of games have been not so good but before that he was in a different league to Mason. I think Mason is pretty average. I think Harrison much more talented but with him you’ll have peaks and troughs as he develops - but on avg I still think he’ll be better than Mason.

October been a classic, started off potentially ending it top of the league. Ended with being mid table and out of FA Cup. Some fans wanting manager to be sacked, comment from board member upsetting part of fan base.Fans having a go at other fans. Surely if any club needs a tv documentary then it’s this one. Bring on November

Goodbye Glendon??
🔵 Reece Daly has been recalled from his loan spell at Witton Albion.
The 19-year-old has caught the eye so far this season at Witton, playing 18 games in the Northern Premier Division One (West).
He contributed eight goals, including a hat-trick in a 5-2 win over Congleton Town just nine days ago.
Manager Calum McIntyre said: “We need to take a different approach in central areas moving forwards and Reece returns in great form having regularly been on the scoresheet for Witton in recent weeks.”
Welcome back, Reece. 👊

We are only 6 points off the top. Its not time to ponic. That's ok then, next time they get a hammering we'll applaud them off. You and I both know that's not what she meant. People on this thread have been calling our board spineless for not sacking him after a few poor results. Really? A few games ago the 'HMS Piss The League' brigade were out in force. I saw one of them on Facebook now calling for CM's head!

We signed Willoughby, Hunter, Hancox, Rawlinson & Harrison from higher division clubs and Pollock, Turner & Mason from this league.
