Another promising result tonight, but tomorrow we face some familiar Cheshire rivals in Altrincham at Moss Lane. It should be a decent game, with what I imagine a similar set-up to tonight with some more youth players. Hopefully we can make it 5 unbeaten. Come on you blues!

It will be my first look at the team tonight. I always quite like going to Alty, its only down the road and got a decent chippy and pub nearby. Looking forward to seeing how we're shaping up.

Well it looks like a side for each half, following the usual trend. Second half seems to be mainly trialists and a few youth players, first half looking the stronger on paper, if not nearly the first team.
Odds on Peers scoring against us and everyone saying we should have kept him...
Gutted Mahon won't be playing a part again judging by the team sheet.

Take the youth lads out of the squad and we are seriously lacking strength in depth, especially in defence.
Also I don't understand why Shaw has not played any part in preseason at all. He was a key player for us last season and still has a lot to offer imo.

Anyone else listening to the radio commentary ? This commentator is an absolute clown !! He can't for the life of him pronounce James Akintunde's name ... has tried everything. Akintunty, Akinda Tunty, Akindunty ... and even AkinKunty ! Embarrassing.

sounds like alty a a much better team under parkinson looks like he's got rid of the deadwood and got his own players in
big improvement needed for the 2nd half team

Cheers,should be beating these with that lineup!! If anything it seems like the second half lineups have generally done better in these friendlies. Let's hope it's the same again tonight as it sounds like we're not really at the races despite being level. |
