Team for tonight I'd go for an attacking 4-2-4 with the usual in goal and in defence. Have Mahon and Dawson on the flanks supporting White and Hannah, with James and Turnbull protecting the defence we'll win 3-0

A friend of mine, who is not a football fan, told me Chester will win 4-0 tonight. I wish it were true.

I'm assuming the relevant paperwork has gone through for Mitchell quickly then? Didn't sound as though he would be ready to play tonight judging by tweets earlier

A really nice touch from the club holding a minute's applause for those fans we have lost. Touch of class there

Sounds like a good first half from the Blues, plenty of chances. It seems their goal came very much against the run of play. Great to see a bit of spirit to get an equaliser just before half time

Have our commentators got their mikes pointed away from them as all through the game I can hardly hear them at all (quiet and feint) but the crowd and cleggy are very loud and clear?

Very frustrating to watch at times tonight...a good point in the end. Never known a team sit back so much like us, if we sat any deeper astles and mccombe would of been in the car park!would of took a point beginning of the night so hopefully all three Saturday!

Very difficult to hear them and keeps cutting out. Still listening to the post match commentary and it sounds like they are taking turns stuffing the mike down their undercrackers now

Genuine question and not on the wind up, but how did Fylde look? Just interested with all the money that has been pumped into them.

No complaints from old Paulie boy tonight. First home match, point on the board and a respectable crowd.

Can't really do Tuesday night games at all these days. Sounded a fair result and an exciting game. Never 100% happy to draw a home game but at least it's got us out of this habit of losing at home.
The commentary was a bit hard to hear at times, but was generally good and is free to listen to, so no need to moan too much. I'm sure they'll sort the sound out gradually.

Frustrating to watch, when was the last time we won at home ? The Saturday before Christmas, against Aldershot. Since then we've lost all but one home game, so a draw is at least a step in the right direction.

Watched Fylde on Saturday and I thought they were there for the taking. Fully expected a 4-0 win tonight. So yet another failure to keep a clean sheet, and a failure to win against a newly promoted team yet to find their feet. Glad I'm in Germany and couldn't make the match. Will be there on Saturday fully expecting a comfortable win. Anything less will be a joke. A home draw is two points lost against such teams. If you see it differently then I hope you enjoy relegation. I'm sick of the dross served up in 2017, and the myriad of excuses too. If you're happy please don't bother commenting on my post, because I'm sick of your drivel as well!!

Genuine question and not on the wind up, but how did Fylde look? Just interested with all the money that has been pumped into them. Energetic and full of pace. Kept their width in the wingers and always a threat but look like conceding a few as well, expect them to do well this season. We got a decent point in the end, strikers worked hard. Not sure about Chappel even in his cameo he wasn't confident enough to take a shot on with a decent chance. Likes Rowe Turner apart from his one mistake of diving into a tackle that nearly cost us. First Half positive, second half looked short of match fitness. Overall a nice point.

We have to retain the ball better I lost count of how many times we ether passed or hoofed it back to then in the second half but that said I am happy with the point because we will play a lot better than tonight and lose.

Same old tonight I'm afraid. Aimless hoofing for the majority and then ran out of steam after 70 minutes. Some individual moments of skill but that was about it. Could and should have been another home defeat. The one positive was that it wasn't. We need to start by stopping crosses into the box and then work on being fit for 90 minutes. You don't need to watch a DVD to work that out.

What a joke of a post. Do you know anything regards football? Fylde have over double our budget. Saturday is a tough game, like any other at this level.

I thought we did ok, a bit more luck and we'd have won. Fylde played some nice stuff and did look dangerous, but we didn't take our chances.
I do think they will struggle in winter on bad pitches, can't knock it about at the back

Good entertaining first half, second half was a bit shit. Fylde are a quick bunch and knock it around well. Our defence keep the shape well but they like to clear their lines bypassing midfield. Hoof ball mentality is going to be difficult to shift but there's some talent in the team.
Harry white is a class act and is an asset. Dawson did well and picks a great pass. Hannah and Bell was interesting as Hannah clearly thinks bell is a bell end without a footballing brain. Akintundes pace will cause all sorts of trouble. Whites the main man this season.
As for the negative knob heads iwho started shouting at McCarthy when they went 1 up... embarrassing. They soon shut up when we went and equalised. Gotta be a bit more patient than that...encouragement will get more results than bring negative.
