Yes quite a few. Hit the woodwork a few times Hitting the woodwork is not a shot on target. I never said it was. Just said we have hit the woodwork a few times too.

1-1 FT, scraped a point against a side yet to win a match.
Blues radio lads trying to claim it's a good point, must admit I don't agree at all. Second best at the worst side in the division. If that's a game we are struggling to get a point in then alarm bells should be ringing.

1-1. Mixed feelings really. I'm always glad to see us pick up any points but I feel Ross Hannah has just kept McCarthy in his job for a bit longer. Which ultimately, is continuing to delay what needs to be done.

Come on Richard, where is the spin here? Scrapped a draw against the worst team in the league (who have 2/3 of a team injured) McCarthy for England manager

Not a good enough result. It'd be great to hear JM actually acknowledge that but he'll full of high praise and pride about our shape and discipline.

Hannah time in added time saves Jon's job. For now. It's a funny feeling in the Paulie household, usually would be dancing around after a stoppage time equaliser. I feel absolutely nothing today, all that goal has done is delay the inevitable sacking of mclueless.

Should be winning these sort of games really. Jon will frothing with praise at this point in the interview.
The only positive for me is getting Hannah on the pitch and him getting off the mark for the season.

He'll get Tuesday night at Solihull as a chance to take the absolute minimum required four points from these two games. Anything less than a win on Tuesday and I expect him to have departed by noon on Wednesday. If that hasn't happened then the board should all receive a vote of no confidence at a hastily arranged EGM.

I never ever want to see Chester lose and under normal circumstances this would be an ok point. But the downside here is that I now suspect McCarthy is going to remain until the Ebbsfleet home game, and possibly beyond. Unfortunately the longer he stays the chances of bringing in a good replacement reduce , and therefore the chances of avoiding relegation significantly diminishes.

Torquay have got 50% of their points from 8 games against us, that tells you everything

I am actually slightly disappointed that we didn't lose. A ridiculous comment to make but that is how I feel. He must have a 'performance' clause in his contract. To lose approx 70% of his games in charge is absolutely unacceptable.

People claiming its a decent point are out of their minds. You catch a break by getting the bottom of the table side at a time when their squad is decimated by injury and if you are happy to take a point there then you are happy to get relegated.
The brand of football is worse than the relegation form though. Can't expect to attract the floating fan with that style of play, at a point in the flu s history where the floating fan is so important and will have such an impact on the budget moving forward. This bloke is fucking up the club.

So we're on exactly a point per game so far. If we continue at that rate, 46 points is very unlikely to keep us up. I would also say that I think the fixture list has been quite kind to us so far, with four home games and three aways. Strangely the one game we've won was the toughest looking fixture, Sutton I think are in a false position and will slip down the table, so I do struggle to see where the wins will come from at this rate.
I feel awful saying it, but I think it may have been better in the long run if we hadn't got that late equaliser. As miserable as it is to lose any game, it feels like the greater need at the moment is to change the manager. A point gained today will just lead to more lost in the future if McCarthy is still here.

Back on the coach now after a really good day, only for the inevitable to be delayed. Usually I would be dancing with joy with a late equaliser, however I didn't today as we played the exact same as we have been doing all year. The majority of the 151 Chester supporters booed McCarthy off after that. It could've been worse if it wasn't for Ross Hannah keeping him in his job. In all fairness to us, we were unlucky in the first half as we hit the woodwork twice and Kingsley James missed a sitter. However, McCarthy's clueless tactics dominated the play yet again. I don't really need to explain in full detail, but all we did really was drop deep, hoof it to Bell and Akintunde, and let Torquay have the possession. Their 'goal' was rightly disallowed because John McCombe got booted in the head and we would've been in uproar over it. Thankfully the linesman chalked it off. Torquay were a very poor side, but we just let them have all the time in the world and not close them down. If we don't win on Tuesday then Jon HAS to go. We are all getting tired of this and nothing is going to change. If it wasn't for Ross Hannah, then he should've stayed in Torquay and applied for the managers job there. Here's to a very long journey back.

Why wait till after Tuesday? Why not sack him tonight? We won't win on Tuesday with or without McCarthy, but if he does go tonight, it'll lift the team before that game, let them show us what they are capable of without being held back by the clueless manager they have got and gives us a good chance of getting a win next weekend when hopefully we have gained a bit of momentum. This scenario only happens if Macca goes tonight. If he doesn't, then expect the next 90 mins (at least) to be another game full of frustration. Macca out. I'm sick of repeating it now, I'm sure many other fans are too but our voices just ain't being heard, are they? I agree with Sychdn Blue, if he doesn't go, then call an EGM and pass a vote of no confidence in the board.
