Made a loss of £45k (https://cityfansunited.com/docs/2018-CFU-financial-report.pdf)
Also note from Calvin Hughes board election manifesto this passage-
'It was evident also that the James Alibi tribunal papers had not even been submitted to the FA! Despite the CEO stating in the Press on numerous occasions that the Club were waiting for a tribunal date from the FA.
I immediately took control of this from the CEO, completed the documents, and sent them off to FA, within a week we received a tribunal date from the FA, and we had a successful financial outcome from the FA hearing. '
What a useless deceitful **** that Maguire was !

It really is astonishing.
How on earth did he get away with it?

Quite incredible that he's been given the same role at Hartlepool.
I've always thought that Maguire was just poor at his job rather than a genuine bad guy, but that just appears to be shocking laziness backed up by outright lying.

Still feel their plenty more we are not hearing about our ex CEO.
Shocking we were paying him so much money to screw us over.

From the limited amount I saw it was horrific. Neil Turner summed him up perfectly at the meeting earlier this year. The man was poison

Happy to see the “Special Reserve” as they call it back to £95,000. I did raise the issue a few months back that £100,000 isn’t enough for a contingency fund, as it was untouched at the start of January and almost gone by the end of the month. The figure I suggested was £250,000 for a business of our size. Interested to know if this was part of any recommendation from richard’s review.

Can you imagine what would have happened if he was doing these things in a major commercial operation?

Definitely proves CH's valuable worth as a club secretary, that's for sure. Some of us knew that already of course.

Is there an announcement which links to the accounts and manifestos? Can't seem to see anything on the CFU website?

You can complain as much as you like but this is what happens when not enough people stand for election onto the board.
We get the club we deserve.

If enough people turn up to the AGM and do not agree with any of the candidates then their election to the board can be stopped. If you're not intending on attending the AGM you can use the proxy form to vote against a particular candidate.

But I'll go on record and say if Mr Evans has anything to do with this club then I for one will be seriously considering me and my kids doing something else of a weekend. I don't say that lightly, I love this club and have followed it through thin and thinner but this man is vile. His reign as liaison officer was a disgrace. A complete bully boy. And his connection to Mark Gutterman alone should see his application struck off. if anybody from the CFU is reading this, please be very careful where you go with this one.

Can you see a sudden influx of attendees at the meeting like we had at the crisis meeting? It'll just be the same old faces as per usual.

I'm just pointing out that if enough people really don't want a particular candidate to be elected onto the board then them it's up to them to make their voices heard on the night or by proxy vote beforehand.

I've never met the man. I vaguely remember his name from the late 90s. That's about it.
Guessing some of those protesting were less than well behaved on occasion back in the day??

He was the “Main” man for the Cheshire police force back in the day of Chester City, you’d only have to look at him and you’d be arrested, PC Evans one dirty horrible copper.

On second thoughts.... just read his manifesto and the song "PC Evans, is a w**ker, is a w**ker, is a w**ker" sprang into my mind..... I've supported Chester a long while, just didn't know him as "Paul Evans"....

I won’t be going again if he’s a director or has anything to do with the club. The man is evil. Not exaggerating either. Will cancel my CFU membership and give my season ticket up if he’s elected.

If Evans gets in I can tell you now a lot of loyal supporters will never enter the Deva again. Bully and one horrible man. I’ll rip my season ticket in half and my two sons if he gets in. Peoples memory’s must be short, in the 90s he booted a lad no older than 12 in the face at an away game.

All these protests, yet only 3 people stood for election.
Only got ourselves to blame. I take it those protesting his application to the board will be writing all this down and sending it into the CFU board?
Or will you just rant on here and then, as I expect, do nothing else?
