Jesus. At least the end is nigh, there's no chance he'll survive this without 2 goals.
You can hear the abuse from the crowd on SealsLive. I cannot imagine a situation where this is allowed to carry on until Saturday.

We were hampered, having to play the final ten minutes against ten men. It spoiled the game plan.

2-0 down to 10 man Solihull who almost fell apart in the close season. The end is nigh

It's actually amusing me that as soon as they go down to 10 men, they score again. We are that rubbish.

I'm so angry at those on the board who have allowed this to happen. They were warned, numerous times, before the end of last season what would happen but they totally ignored what was staring them in the face.

This is a sad low point in the history of Chester FC.
Please Board end it today.

I gave up watching them weeks ago, how many more fans will the board allow to give up before they get rid of the useless fucker?

If he thinks anything of our club he would walk away NOW Why should he? It's down to the board to act, not for him to walk away.

Sad irony that it was the games against Solihull last Christmas when things started to turn sour for McCarthy and tonight is surely the end of the road. Dreadful stuff and it can't carry on like this.

What will the excuse be tonight?
I'll go with the tried and tested 'budget', with sprinklings of 'Aldershot' and, of course, the timeless 'fantastic run of form 12 months ago'.
Surely he won't front the media up tonight, it'll be explosive if he does.

Surely he won't front the media up tonight, it'll be explosive if he does. It will be something along the lines of "it's an outrage this game was rescheduled on a Tuesday after a long away trip to Torquay", and "we've been so unlucky with injuries"

Could be an unpleasant atmosphere - that's more likely to make the board act. Still, I reckon he'll be gone in the morning. His record is indefensible.

It reminds me of the Torquay game last year when we lost 2-0 then Burr got sacked.

From being very optimistic before a ball was kicked in anger to the state of our club now is disgraceful. There can be know way back now for JMC after these latest results - he is a disgrace and has to go. If he doesn't go before Saturday then I as a season ticket holder and someone who has supported this club for over 50 years will not be at Saturdays game. Yes you can say I should support the club through thick and thin but the standard of football is dire, below West Cheshire 1 standard. JMC cannot shoulder the whole blame, the players as professionals must also take some blame for this. If we don't get this sorted soon then the work to get this club reformed may be wasted, my fear is we drop out of this league and then disappear.

That has to be it, this can't go on for another game.
We can't be accused of being unfair or trigger-fingered, we've put up with this for a long, long time.
It's telling that even a Wrexham fan has said he thinks McCarthy's position is untenable. Look at Torquay's forum and the confusion and amusement they feel at his after-match comments on Saturday. He's getting a reputation and this club is being laughed at.
Come on board, do what needs to be done. You can't afford not to. It's not going to click and this situation is really harming the club both on and off the pitch.

I've just emailed the club to say I will not be taking my seat in the main stand until Mr McCarthy is relieved of his duties. It's also I'll renew it in the future if the board continue their intransigence.

I have been a big supporter of McCarthy for a while now, but that's the final straw. If we can't even get a point at Solihull then who can we get a point against? The board need to act before Ebbsfleet so we can all feel fresher. If we don't make a statement by the end of tomorrow then I will be very surprised. Judging from the commentary, we sounded awful and Solihull were all over us. Afolayan and Carter ran the show, and we never got into the game. Fair play to the 231 hardy fans who watched that horrible performance tonight. McCarthy out. 😣
