It's obvious he is not going to resign. We have two Optition to drive him out by constant abuse or get the board to sack him by putting financial pressure on them. Or even an emergency AGM to vote a new board in. My thoughts the fan owned club model does not work and a new board should seek a new suitable owner preferably with a fan on the board.

Dave Powell on twitter - "Spoken to McCarthy. Not walking away and stated his belief that he is still man for job despite one point from six on offer against bottom 2" Hahahahahahaahahahahaha What a cretin we have managing our club, have a word with the board and admit you are not up to the job and agree a mutual agreement. Every one wins, the players are having all there confidence wiped out of them, the longer this goes on the more I worry about the clubs future, never mind staying in this league. If and when we get a new manager he is going to have a massive job on with hard fixtures ahead and players at an all time low. Ebbsfleet on Saturday who haven't lost in about 30 games, give it up you clown.

Best result tonight as far as the future is concerned. His position is untenable now. The board really don't have any choice. I see the mighty Guiseley have snapped up Cox today.

He's probably deluded enough to think he can sort it out. Exactly what I think, the guy has snow blindness can't see what's in front on him. He's affeciting the players too...lost 2 nil against 10 ten soihull and I guarantee he would of praise then rather then a bollocking in the changing room. They don't need praise and a hug they need a kick up the arse. It's comm on the best managers are the ones you don't want to piss off by under performing, fergie is a classic example. A bit like the strictest teacher in school you'd always behave and work harder in their class

I have been a McCarthy in guy but tonight was the worst Chester performance I've seen and now I think it's best for a change but I'm not sure why he deserves all this personal abuse. He's a good guy who tries incredibly hard he's just come up short

I'm just thankful I'm not there as I'm not sure I could control my anger towards him. Let's just remember he's a lovely bloke with a family and feelings before anyone let's rip at him. We wouldn't want to upset him or his merry band of followers.

Moors deserved winners! Most tactically inept performance in years! James was pushed forward and made ineffective. Chappel is the worst player in CFC history, twice in on goal and didn't hit the target.
Macca OUT!!

Three years this bloke has stolen a wage from this club. The new manager will throw him out immediately.

I actually think Macca thinks he can turn it around and is still living off the run that we had last year when Sharps was here. He's either so deluded or so arrogant that he fails to acknowledge just how awful we have been since Christmas. He keeps saying when we get everyone back fit we'll be fine, blah blah blah, but I have not seen any sign that this will be there case. It's quite clear that he is not cut out to be a manager.
Enough is enough now, he's had a fair crack of the whip and failed miserably. Like most assistant managers he probably should have gone when Burr was given the boot, but was kept on probably because of the good work he did on the community trust side.
It will cost us dearly, but the board must take action before it's too late.

What is your problem with JM ? we can all see what he is trying to do and hey he has limited funds for medical treatment and cant get the players on the pitch. You all need to get behind him because when he does we will see how awesome he is and the flood gates will open and the goals will flood in. We can all see what he is trying to do and he is the man for this club calm down we are on a real winner under JM stop being so silly and negative.

Here is a summary of my thoughts from tonight's game. I arrived at the ground believing that we might get a positive result tonight. I have watched a very poor display that just seemed to lack heart and desire throughout. Yes we did play players out of position and as another post suggests we took Kingsley James out the game by pushing him on to much. We did knock it about a bit before we conceded a soft goal straight down the middle of our defence and afterwards all be it without having any threat/quality or cutting egde throughout the ninety minutes. Chappell has managed to get through twice on the one occasion he dragged it wide of the near post and on the 2nd he took too long to shoot that the defender has slid on and taken it away. He should be working the keeper with those? I'm afraid I can't find anything else positive to talk about from the first half. So we bring hannah on at half time and Mahon as well. I can't remember if he came on at half time or soon afterwards. Hannah looks in need of game time fair enough. Service to him nil. Mahon looked lively and was clearly trying. Rowe turner awful mistake for 2 nd goal which JM has acknowledged. We huffed and puffed 2 nd half and had a lot of the ball but in truth we didn't create much due to poor decision making, lacking that final ball and I'm afraid just a general lack of quality very evident. We didn't really get to have a good go against the 10 men as we conceded the 2 nd three or so minutes later which was totally avoidable. They are a poor side without doubt and they haven't needed to be great to beat us which I find very worrying. It doesn't look like they are putting it in for JM for whatever reason. On the evidence of tonight we desperately need someone to boost their confidence and allow them to express themselves and play. I could see that there is some potential for that. It was generally woeful and very disappointing. Shouting for JM to go yes and there was quite a lot of that before the final whistle and after it. I know that we all want the best for our club but hurtling abuse is over stepping the mark. I have come away from the game very worried about our club. Clearly the focus this season has to now be on protecting our conference status even this early into the season. Yes injuries etc. He says other teams have lost more games than us but we have won 1 from 8 Jon. Conclusion from tonight is the board must act tomorrow without fail. An apology to those who travelled wouldn't go a miss either. I guess we put Shaw in temporary charge whilst the board convenes on a way forward but I'm sorry an end has to be put to this tomorrow without fail. Love the club so much and it hurts to watch that

Few bits to add to thoughts on the performance:
Four times I saw Turnbull pick up the ball, head up and see nothing at all ahead of him so he had to turn and pass to a defender, feel sorry for the lad.
No centre backs, real concern, right back looked very poor to me and his tackle was no worse than the red card for me.
Bell was so isolated, he had no chance of doing anything when recoding the ball.
Halls isn't a centre back and shouldn't have been put there, Kingsley would be the better option. He came out for a header missed it and that's how they got in for the first goal.
LRT is pretty terrible in honesty. That mistake for second goal is schoolboy!
I heard Hannah scream "how the f has he got that" when a Solihull man made up about 5 yards to get the ball in the corner flag ahead of Joyce and Sheron. He then said "Kings, what the f is this?" To which Kingsley shook his head. To me, clear unrest in the camp already!

If the board don't take action I fear the fans will it has gone on long enough he is sucking the confidence out of the club and players.

Sqzl some good points made. It does seem that they are not putting it in or at least several of them are not. I'm certainly not naive enough to believe what JM says that all is blooming in our garden. Forever Blue thanks for your kind comments about those who attended tonight's game. I agree it will take some backbone to be in the dugout on Saturday as I suspect after tonight it may be just a torrent of abuse from the start. Let's hope the board intervene before hand.

Just back in Wirral after tonights horrorshow. Unsurprisingly it was absolutely woeful, a performance fitting for the past 10 months (ever since Solihull on boxing day last year no less...)
Surely the last game of McCarthys tenure, this can't go on, its painful to watch all the "fun" being sucked out of watching Chester. The excuses have long run out, it needs sorting urgently. We'll be looking at 1500 on Saturday for Ebbsfleet even if he does go but the longer he stays the malaise will just grow and grow.

Currently 7500 miles away, maybe not a bad thing at the moment, so relying on summaries and comments from others. Yet again you could "cut and paste" virtually any post from previous match threads and apply it to this game. CRISIS and FREEFALL are not too strong words regarding our predicament. The frustration and downright anger at the situation AND the fact that it's been on the cards for months seems to have reached new heights tonight. In my view, a strong board, whether in football or business, needs to act quickly and decisively to lance the boil. The alternative, I fear, is too ghastly to contemplate, indeed, indecision may prove terminal in the long term. JM's position is now untenable, results + playing style + fans lack of faith + players not performing all adds up to what will be a toxic atmosphere on Saturday. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I'll miss that one as well but I dearly hope the club has acted before then.
On a purely personal note, moan, groan and criticise but personal abuse towards JM does nobody any favours, we should be better than that

I thought Rowe Turner had a good game tonight, I thohhht he was quick, powerful and put a shift in. He then made the awful mistake for the second goal but other than that I was impressed, I think he'll end up being a decent player for us
