If you guys doing the commentary are reading this thread, can you please speak up or get closer to the mic. You're audible and clear but very quiet.

Listening to Seals Live, could do with hearing the commentators clearer, the crowd are drowning out their sound.

Sounds like we've had a decent half but then switched off right on half time and let in a soft goal.

Half time Gateshead 1-0 Chester FC. Judging from the commentary, we have played quite well up until the goal where we switched off. It is a blow, but their are positives to take into the second half which we can hopefully capitalise on. COYB!

Particularly poor times to concede - just before and after the break.

Crowd is 657.. how on earth are Gateshead able to pay for decent players season after season with that!

The live table makes for worrying reading. Only September but you don't to be getting cut adrift at ant stage.

Particularly poor times to concede - just before and after the break. Is there ever a good time to concede?

Bottom line is heavy investment is needed. Look at all these shoddy clubs like Gateshead, getting bankrolled, yet they have no history and dreadful crowds, I don't see the attraction.

Here's the evidence that whoever is the new manager MUST have experience of this league AND can get this lot organised very quickly to compete at this level. We simply cannot afford to "experiment" with unproven coaches

Whoever comes in is going to need to add 3-4 players to this squad and ship out the likes of Joyce, Chappel and Davies at the same time. Far easier said that done. Who is going to want any of those three and where is the money going to come from to bring in much needed back up? There are individuals in this squad that are an upgrade on last season but overall I'm not overly convinced we are in any better a situation. You do wonder how much was offered to some of these players that have been brought in on two year deals.

Need to get the new manager in before the Dover game. Agreed. The dilly dallying in dealing properly with McCarthy really could come back to haunt us.

We need a manager with contacts who can call in some favors and get some bodies in on loan for free! Not some green horn with a certificate !

Can't keep a clean sheet and with this defence it's hardly a surprise. Thanks to Ernie we are in a mess and it's going to take a good manager to lift these boys and bring some new players in.

The live table makes for worrying reading. Only September but you don't to be getting cut adrift at ant stage. I think the problem is that not only have we let 10 games pass now, but also that we won't get an easier run of 8 games all season than the ones McCarthy scraped 7 points from. The new man is going to come in right in the thick of a tough set of fixtures. Big mistake giving McCarthy the close season and 8 games of this one. I don't criticise the two and a half year contract as it seemed a good idea at the time and was done for the right reasons, but the decision to keep him on was a foolish one, and most of us could have told them that.

Time to get rid of the shit out the club and brings some proper players in. Joyce, Davies, Chappell for starters. We have real bad negative mentality that has been drummed into the players and it will take time to get going. We nee pad a manager and a couple of players in asap..
