Another long trip for us tomorrow as we go to Gateshead in the North East. They are a good team who will be a tricky opponent, however we played well on Saturday so will have the momentum. Let's hope we can pick up some points. Come On You Blues! Score: Gateshead 1-2 Chester FC (Akintunde, Hannah) Attendance: 756 (102 Chester) COYB!

I've come to the conclusion it's Rio's fault he has jinxed us with his match threads. Time to hand the batton over Rio if this one goes tits up, I will be brave and go for 1-1 Hannah

Anything out of the two long-haul away games will be a bonus. Gateshead's crowds have been shocking this season so be surprised if the crowd is much over 500 on a midweek. Not a clue about a score!

Gateshead haven't won in 4 games, so I'm going for a 0-1 win to Chester, Kingsley James to score, with 80 Blues there.

After the big improvement Saturday I feel we can only get better under Tom Shaw as their confidence improves. I felt you could see that in the last 20 minutes or so on saturday. I don't think our record up there is very good? We will have to do without Bell as well. I'm going for a 1-1 draw with 730 of which 110 of those travelling.

Me and Krankie hit the road at 10am. Horrible monsoon conditions on the motorway but made it to Newcastle.
Targeting 20 real ale pubs before kick off tomorrow!
Head says 1-1, heart says 1-0 blues..

Can't say I've had many enjoyable trips up to Gateshead watching Chester. Vague memories of winning there in 2010 with Mark Beesley scoring (and the first time we had encounted the legendary Daryl Clare since he left Chester) but it may be my memory playing tricks.
Not especially optimistic for tomorrow night but you never know. Maybe 1-1 with 107 away fans present.
Is Bell available tomorrow or is he ineligiable as part of the loan deal?

Train down from Edinburgh for me. Much quicker than the usual journey from East London. Going for a 1-1 as well. With sub 600 crowd but good turnout as always from Chester

Big night for Craig Mahon if he gets on will break George Horan's 159 record appearances I thought he'd already broken it. According to Wiki he was only 1 or 2 behind George at the start of the season.

3-1 Chester. Wade Joyce to score the fastest hatrick since reformation, just after half-time.
Only joking. Think we can just edge it or draw if we pick up where we left off.

You'd be gutted if that did happen and you didn't put money on it! Their home form is decent, so I'd be happy with anything from this one. I'll go for a 1-1.

Bell might turn out to be a big miss with us having no height up top without him. We need to play on the floor if we are going to get a result. I'm going to have to sadly say Gateshead 2 - 0 Chester.

With the predicted strong winds later, might not be a bad thing It's whether we have the balls to attack them. At home I think Shaw and co. Had to show attacking intent and went with the three strikers. I'd not be shocked to see us back to one tonight, although I think it'll be likely two up top and Mahon to start. Gutted I can't make tonight but only just back from work and it's about 2:30hr from where I am in Yorkshire.

Can't see us winning this one but if we are organised a committed a draw would be a good point.
