I think some of you on here need to give your heads a shake and put your dummies back in listening to the commentary tonight the boys gave it a right good go and Barr from a goalkeeping error would have go a great point after falling 2-0 down to come storming back to draw level, do you really think that we would have done this a couple of weeks ago I think not. Yes it is disappointing to lose the game like that but some of the rubbish being posted on here is unbelievable. It did sound like there were positives to take from the game, but yet another last minute defeat is hard to take.

In a relegation battle after 10 games with no winning streak to get us out of jail could be the year we actually go down :-( No

36 games to get another 45 points. That's 11 wins and 12 draws. Not sure we can do that unless there is a major change of personnel. At least Matty Waters should be more involved and Tom Shaw should be more than an occasional substitute.

Thank you Leeds United for moving to the top of the Championship and giving me some cheer.

Just got home, I live in the NE. How we lost that game I dont know. Sides equal first half and we concede with own goal just before half time. Concede early second with soft goal, two mistakes, Mahon lost possession then Halls. The rest of the 2nd half we were by far the better team. Dawson ran the game picking up the ball deep and playing from the back. Deserved to get the 2 goals back. Waters goal was a cracker. Then another soft goal. What made it worse was the ball went for the corne off the corner flag, two inches to the right it would have hit the corner flag and gone for a throw, from which they probably would have scored....... Lots of fight, two up front away from home. It will come good. We always looked like we could get something from the game. Gareshead must be relieved.

One positive is Matty Waters involved, the kid showed flashes of what he was about last season, I was hoping he would kick on this season but McCarthy froze him out.
We need another centre back and get Halls back at right back, ideally would like a proper winger in as well, we have another options everywhere else to cope.

Not sure what you do to cut out the mistakes when you cannot realistically change the personnel. Sounds like Halls cost us big time.

Unfortunately we have won once this season (yes at Aldershot!) and despite a spirited, although ultimately fruitless comeback from 2 0 down tonight due to the all too familiar soft goals , forgive me if I don't get the bunting out just yet.

All credit to the team they seemed to put up a fight but I think it shows how important it is we get a new manager in asap, no disrespect to TS but he needs to be on the pitch and the new manager can bring in his own coaching staff. It is so important that the CEO and Board get this right, they gave JM too long and allowed him to retain certain players and spend the budget so any new manager will have to work with the team we have for the foreseeable future. How often do we concede goals from set pieces last minute corners or sitting deep or the players switch of after a goal ? things need to change and the sooner the better JM has left his legacy.

We haven't had a decent GK since the guy that went to Halifax was with us. Matt glennon was a decent keeper and always felt comfortable in a game and exactly what we need now. Lynch doesn't seem to care enough and Mitchell has been thrown in the deep end that he can't cope I think it's ridiculous to say Lynch doesn't care. Anyone who was at the Solihull game saw how much he cared and how angry he was getting. As for everything else, the league is incredibly weak this year 12 points separate the top 23 teams after 10 games highlighting how even it is. With 7 playoffs spots we shouldn't be discounting our chances of making them, need to get out of the idea that every year is a relegation battle just because we've had a bad start

Bloody hell someones been up all night drinking. Forget about the play-offs. Concentrate on us getting that first home win, which I feel may be a distance away yet.

Were not really improving though are we, our style is more attacking, and the players are giving everything for Tom Shaw but that is all. Fragile goalkeeping, a poor defence and shot shot shy attackers. Whoever comes in will have to wheel and deal and hope it's enough to get us out of trouble. Chappell and Joyce need moving out and we need an experienced goalkeeper. James Jones, Tom Crawford and Nathan Brown should go out on loan if theyre not going to figure.

Just seen the highlights, excellent goal by Waters but that 3rd goal was painful to watch. Very poor.

Difficult to avoid his own goal but that doesn't give you reason to say he's been shocking as he hasn't. What about Saturday when he put in a MOTM performance.

I think we're lacking an experienced shot stopper to be honest. Mitchell is a young lad learning his trade and perhaps that's the best we can afford. Lynch isn't the answer for me, he's too small and too easily beaten from distance - his main strength is reacting well from close range efforts. Perhaps its a bit harsh on Mitchell who has made some good saves and is vocal, but it looks like we're going to be in a relegation battle and you have to ask if its the right decision to have a young lad with such responsibility in our situation.

Of course it's worrying to be adrift at the bottom, but I'm far more upbeat about things compared to the feeling I had walking away from the Macc game. I know we only got 1 point from 2 games, but I feel as though - based on those showings - we actually have a squad able to compete far better than previously.

Thanks Matt. Hell of a strike from Waters, pleased for the lad. Stinking clanger from Mitchell at the end has cost us badly. Halls & Sheron look way off in those clips too.

Football can be cruel, on balance of play we didn't deserve to lose, but saying that we've shot ourselves in the foot conceding 3 avoidable goals. We conceded at bad times as well, just before and after half time. After a good first half we had a poor 20 mins or so at the start of the second but White made a difference when he came on, and when we got the first I did think we could get something from the game. Waters with a quality finish to equalise, can see why he was scoring loads in the youth team! Needs to be given more of a chance, if he plays on the wing his lack of strength won't be an issue. But to concede the way we did at the end was gutting, Mitchell had a good game up to that point but a poor error. We have a real player on our hands in Dawson. Hope Turnbull's injury isn't bad as we really saw what he could do on Saturday, but all our play came through Dawson when he came on. He's got a great eye for a pass, dictates play and his set piece delivery is generally very good. Only 23 so a bright future for sure. The match reminded me a bit of the Burr days, it was an entertaining game and we looked good going forwards, but too many defensive mistakes. But at least we lost having tried to win the match, rather than trying not to lose and still losing - some progress! I think we'll get there, this team should not be getting relegated, and someone who hasn't managed before has already made us look a more threatening side. Tough game Saturday, not expecting anything from it, but after that we have a run of winnable home games that we must get a good points haul from.

Second Gateshead goal was very avoidable if our number2 (sheron?) Had a backbone and made a tackle. Should have committed to winning that tackle. Unforgiveable if players don't have the fight or passion to make those tackles.
