Just read on their website that we've confirmed to CofL the prices for this game are pay on gate £15. Is that right? That is too much for a 2nd qualifying round tie against NWCL opposition. www.colfc.co.uk/news/

An FA Cup 2nd qualifying round tie isn't the opportunity for that. It certainly isn't going to whet the home fans appetite.

It is too steep. Will cost me the same amount as a league match.

It'll be better than most home league games anyway. FA Cup. Second biggest away following all season. Full prices are fine imo

Is that the price to away fans? I’m not sure that’s been confirmed at all! Can’t see it being that much for home fans or away fans unless it’s segregated and two different prices.... nonway home fans would pay more than a league game for this round of the fa cup!

More worrying is we have to get this information from City Of Liverpool website rather than our own. Surely a few quid off the match ticket would help get a few more through the door.
Sure this is the game we can get a fanzone set up, good solid away support coming down the road, we would make a fortune. We have made excuses in the past regards not doing it against v Tranmere previously.

£15 is an absolute travesty for a 2nd round qualifier against a North West Counties League opponent.
Whoever it is setting the prices - they need to give their heads a good WOBBLE.
Thought this was a fan owned/ran club, but the fans are last to find out everything all the time.

We have had confirmation from Chester FC that we have been allocated a segregated area of the Swansway Stadium that is completely seated and can accomodate approximately 1100 supporters across the whole of the South Stand and an area of the West Stand. Again, both clubs have to agree admission prices.

You should know by now that only rumour, heresay, and made up bollocks off the top of people's heads based on "a feeling" is acceptable to the majority on here. This place is worse than DC1

Would this game still be £12 and £15 if we were drawn against a side with a following of one man and his dog?

Why would you be happy to play Ashton United at home and pay £15 but not City of Liverpool?
It's an interesting tie, it's far from unreasonable to keep our prices the same. Either go or don't, but we're all a bit tired of the hysterics about everything the club does.

Totally agree Jack some people just seem to want to moan, moan when we are losing money, moan when we seize an opportunity to make a bit of money which will help the playing budget which they moan is too small I despair at times

Would this game still be £12 and £15 if we were drawn against a side with a following of one man and his dog? Probably yes as the away team see it as a chance to make money (they get equal cut) and will rarely agree to reductions in entry fee. I dont know if that is the case with City of Liverpool FC.

Glad I’m not the only one who wasn’t sure why people were expecting reduced admission prices for this fixture. It’s the FA Cup, not some Mickey Mouse trophy, and it would be bordering on disrespectful to the opposition to treat them as some sort of undercard. In fact it’s not unheard of for non-league clubs to raise their entrance fees for the FA Cup because a) the away team takes a share of the receipts and b) I believe the FA actually sets a minimum entry fee for the Cup which can be above what some clubs normally charge.

I think people are getting mixed up with the FA Trophy which is a different kettle of fish and we normally reduce admission in the early rounds.

I won't be bothering. I can understand your feelings on this but please remember that for every £15 admission we'll get around £6 going to our club for this, so we need as many people through the doors as possible at this game. The FA Cup has always had a special appeal for me. If you were around watching us in the mid 80s then you'll know where I'm coming from. We're in the middle of a season like no other at Chester FC if truth be told and we need our fans to stick by us right now, so if there is a slim chance of reconsidering your initial decision then I'd appeal to you to come to the game. Reducing the prices by a couple of quid won't bring people flocking to the match. Can't believe toys are being thrown out of prams about this when we've just won away. Get along and support the team ...decent money for winning these rounds. I don't see any reason to reduce prices for the FA Cup.

People moaning about paying normal entrance fee, then moan when we dont sign more players when we have injuries, or moan about pot holes on the car park. We no longer launder money for scouse drug dealers folks. You want it to get better, go to games and encourage others to come too.

Jeff You know what Jeff - your reply has got me thinking about it, because I genuinely want to support the club. Is there not a danger though that pricing the tickets high for this one will put a lot of people off, particularly season ticket holders who have already forked out for the who or season?

It's about affordability on top of the season ticket and away entrance fees and travel. So don't try and give me that fan superiority.
