What was the point of careful social distancing, businesses closing, people losing their jobs, healthcare staff literally putting themselves in harms way to keep others safe?

Nothing, evidently.

As I said earlier in the thread, a massive problem for police forces in England now. It’s free reign for anyone to do what they want.

All lockdown fines should be refunded. 

Yes they should be doing something about the photographers outside the house. 

if Cummings had any decency he would have stood down, this isn't going away and many more daily briefings will be taken over like this until the right action is taken. 

The slogan "stay home, save lives" obviously doesn't apply to the elite. 

Surely as most people watch for the updates. And if you Didnt know by now that he went to durham it may have been better to stick to the title of the programme.

Based on this performance tonight and Gollum being completely unapologetic over his flouting of the rules, why should the regulations apply to any of us?

Well he has been all over the country with covid so I presume they are either immune or thick

I never voted for him and I don't defend him. But if journolists are happy to get that close they are as culpable as him.

I can see tomorrow’s briefing being more of the same to be honest. Maybe they should limit the questions to those from the general public, as they’re the only questions that covered any subject other than Dominic Cummings. One thing you do notice with the questions from the general public is the patronising way they are received. It’s all ‘what a good question’ and ‘that’s a really intelligent question’. They might as well say ‘well done Tracy from Leeds, I didn’t realise the great unwashed used big words let alone knew what they mean’.

I'm actually glad they haven't sacked him as I hope more people are finally beginning to understand what Boris Johnson and his party are all about. No morals, no principals, no balls. He might as well just be shouting "fake news" now. Sadly America has shown us that it doesn't matter if you're lying and can be proven to be lying as long as enough people want to believe what you're saying.

I'm also quite enjoying the idea of that horrible self-important bastard Cummings squirming. What an absolute shitstain he is to abuse the public's trust at a time like this, and use his children to cover up his lies. He's obviously not as smart as he thinks he is either to a) do what he did in the first place and b) get caught for it.

I think a lot of people who are critical of the government were willing to be apolitical during this crisis, realising that it was bigger than politics, but they're just such a bunch of utterly unpardonable c**ts, they've made it impossible for us.

Two days in a row now the Government have no idea how many people have been tested (“unavailable”) - knowing the correct number of tests is crucial to easing lockdown restrictions. But they’re pressing ahead with herd immunity anyway so I guess it doesn’t matter.

Imagine if the smearing press barons weren’t so angry at the thought of paying a couple of pence more in tax.
