Oh well, at least we absolutely know for sure now that herd immunity has been the plan right from the start.
The PM has essentially ended the lockdown entirely and, in fact, has backdated the lockdown to the beginning of April.

I think if Dominic Cummings walked into the Houses of Parliament with a machine gun and took out everyone inside Boris would say it was done in self defence. I reckon he’s got photos of Boris shackled up in a sex dungeon, as featured in The must see Sky series Brassic. It must be great to be in a job that you can’t possibly be sacked from.

What was the point of careful social distancing, businesses closing, people losing their jobs, healthcare staff literally putting themselves in harms way to keep others safe?
Nothing, evidently.
As I said earlier in the thread, a massive problem for police forces in England now. It’s free reign for anyone to do what they want.

If you are a parent lockdown is over, as long as whatever you do in done on instinct.
That was the most excruciating bit of TV I have ever watched, all the press were getting cut off and boris not answering much.

I get so disappointed with the journalists repeatedly asking the same question over and over. They all got the same answer and wasted the whole point of the covid update. I did expect at least one question about the fact we are moving in to phase two he never got the chance to explain because of the same questions being asked. Also like or dislike cummings is it OK for photogphers and journalists to be within 1 foot of him or actually touching him. Surely police should do something about it.

Yes they should be doing something about the photographers outside the house. if Cummings had any decency he would have stood down, this isn't going away and many more daily briefings will be taken over like this until the right action is taken. The slogan "stay home, save lives" obviously doesn't apply to the elite.

What do you expect from a fascist government who have banned any mildly negative critical questioners from their pressers.

Based on this performance tonight and Gollum being completely unapologetic over his flouting of the rules, why should the regulations apply to any of us?

Just seems like you're defending the indefensible in a strangely incoherent way, and I'm not sure what points you're trying to make.

Journalists are often dicks, we all know that, but their job is to report stories and sell papers. It's Dominic Cummings job to set strategies for governing the country, so the repercussions of their behaviour can't be compared like for like. Sure you've said at least once that you voted Tory last election?

I can see tomorrow’s briefing being more of the same to be honest. Maybe they should limit the questions to those from the general public, as they’re the only questions that covered any subject other than Dominic Cummings. One thing you do notice with the questions from the general public is the patronising way they are received. It’s all ‘what a good question’ and ‘that’s a really intelligent question’. They might as well say ‘well done Tracy from Leeds, I didn’t realise the great unwashed used big words let alone knew what they mean’.

I'm actually glad they haven't sacked him as I hope more people are finally beginning to understand what Boris Johnson and his party are all about. No morals, no principals, no balls. He might as well just be shouting "fake news" now. Sadly America has shown us that it doesn't matter if you're lying and can be proven to be lying as long as enough people want to believe what you're saying.
I'm also quite enjoying the idea of that horrible self-important bastard Cummings squirming. What an absolute shitstain he is to abuse the public's trust at a time like this, and use his children to cover up his lies. He's obviously not as smart as he thinks he is either to a) do what he did in the first place and b) get caught for it.
I think a lot of people who are critical of the government were willing to be apolitical during this crisis, realising that it was bigger than politics, but they're just such a bunch of utterly unpardonable c**ts, they've made it impossible for us.

Still, could’ve been worse. We could’ve had a real living wage, a cared-for NHS and integrated social care services, a warm meal at school for children and housing for the homeless. Dodged a bullet.

Two days in a row now the Government have no idea how many people have been tested (“unavailable”) - knowing the correct number of tests is crucial to easing lockdown restrictions. But they’re pressing ahead with herd immunity anyway so I guess it doesn’t matter.

As usual Piers Morgan (who now seems to have decided he's a Corbynite despite spending much of the last few years joining in the smear campaign) is coming at it from the wrong angle, tweeting that he's going to drive to his parents' house, and this while using the NHS logo as his profile pic.
Let's not use these stupid idiots as an excuse to be idiots ourselves. Let's be better than Dominic Cummings.

Think how mad your Old Man would have been if for weeks you had been telling everyone how dangerous putting your hand in fire is and then he found out you’d been putting other people’s hands in the fire at the same time.
