Can you confirm if that is just people who have died directly because of the virus or is it the total number of deaths in this country since it started 

I have not commented on this topic on here before, but the very fact there are people defending the response by our elected officials to this pandemic, is nothing short of abhorrent and is an insult to the victims who have lost their lives and the families who have had to bury them, all but alone. Shocking.

Makes you wonder why it was imposed on everybody's phone, whether or not they want it.  There's no way to take it off, so the only thing you can do is, as you say, switch Bluetooth off every time you leave home.  There HAS to be a reason, other than the virus, why the government wanted this on every mobile in the country!

Wasn’t aware of any personal attacks. A robust exchange of views, certainly, but there was no malice intended, certainly not from me anyway.

Those figures are bad enough so why use false figures it does nothing for stimulating debate why not just use facts

Every agency reports the death figures after low weekend figures with. Usual caveats now where have I read or heard. these figures are all lies put out by the government. Wait I have just thought. two people on here report like that.

I agree entirely. But what is the point of making it up as Frank does. I've said before the yearly excess death figures will reveal all. As for now we can only take reported deaths everything else is pure speculation.

Surely the figures given out by the BBC. itv. sky and the government on the updates as stated are deaths reported in all settings plus late notification which go back as far as march. God knows why. I understand it is high but every one can see it is coming down. Not as fast as we all would like but definitely down.

Absolutely nothing. But are you not encouraged by the death rate coming Down. It will only go up when you see unreported Street raves in London with 17 police officers injured and police cars smashed up. Only reported on twitter. We seem to be accepting this kind of behaviour as normal. If people used a bit of common sense life would be so much easier.my daughter had her latest update from Welsh government. She can now meet up with family member at social distance. But you know what she won't because she is frightened to death of catching anything. She is panicking because her husband and 20 year old daughter are going back to work next week and 16 year old son wants to meet his girl friend. They have barely left the house since March.

Of course there are idiots about who aren't helping, but they need clear, science-led advice from the government.

And no, I don't find it particularly encouraging that it's slowly coming down. Compared to what some countries have achieved, that's the absolute minimum we should hope for.
