Perhaps Frank the oracle can answer. Who are the companies that were not allowed to tender?

Who were the companies that were not allowed to tender? You're question doesn't make a lot of sense. It's like asking "which animals aren't a horse?" Every company except Randox, is your answer.

I do love the patronising faux-heroism of the boomer generation. Spending their days attacking Black Lives Matter, 'accidentally' sharing Britain First posts on Facebook, getting angry about 'halal' bread and 'benefit scroungers' etc. and at the same time thinking they are part of some sort of heroic national effort that defeated Nazism.
Not once do they stop to think, "Looking at my political views, I wonder who I might have supported had I been alive in Germany in the 1930's?"

What's definitely true is:
-Randox won/was given the contract unopposed -Conservative MP Owen Paterson takes a £100,000 a year from Randox - The testing kits have been found to be inadequate - Both the government and Randox have refused to comment on whether Paterson had any influence on Randox getting the contract
Those are all true. How you piece the jigsaw together is up to you.

So are you saying WW2 was wrong and we should not have fought Nazism and allowed them to run amok through Europe and the rest of the world, also if you opposed Hitler in the 30s you would most likely end up dead. The far right in this country are no better than the Nazis of the 30s and there is no way should we let them have any control in this country the far left are no better infiltrating the peaceful Black Lives Matter protests and turning them into near riots therefore reducing the effect of what is a legitimate protest. I dont know your age D C but my father fought during WW2 and my Uncle was killed in Singapore assumedly you have ancestors involved in the conflict so lets not undermine what was achieved back then

No offence taken. I’ve got good skin and magnificent hair for my age. Plus I don’t reek of fascism and Werther’s Originals. A positive attitude and a lifetime fighting for social justice keeps you young.

OK name the companies that were excluded from tendering. It is relevant to the discussion as if only one tendered you could not award it to anyone else

Putting the debate of whether the contract was won, lost given or tendered aside for a moment, the simple fact that a serving government has awarded a contract to a company in which a serving MP is taking a salary from should be taken as corrupt. The MP in question should either resign his position from one or the other. The fact that this hasn’t even been covered up with bungs, brown envelopes etc and is all out in the open makes this worse for me rather than better. At least with people taking bungs you can plead ignorance to the contract being awarded, with this being known at the time of the award it absolutely stinks. Couple in with the fact they the company are also conservative donors makes it even more repugnant. The fact there are a few posters on here seeing beyond this and quite churlishly arguing over how the contract was awarded is astounding. With people like that on here alleged supporters of a cooperative, inclusive and democratic run football club it’s no wonder this country is f*ck*d, it makes my blood boil.

So we don't award a testing contract at all because unless some one can say who wanted it we did not have a lot of choice

The far right are angry about the mere existence of people from other ethnicities, religions or sexual backgrounds. Exactly the same eh? x

To be honest, I would probably agree that the far-left and far-right are as bad as each other.
The problem is that the real far-left in this country (and many others) is so marginal as to be all but insignificant. Meanwhile, the far-right get elected.
