I see Johns Hopkins have calculated the highest COVID-19 mortality rates across the world in the most affected countries. The UK comes out top. A proud moment for all Tory Death Cultists. A link to the data is Here

Do you not work in england What are you on about now? I’m talking about Covid deaths. Bundling Scotland, Wales and the Occupied Territories of the North of Ireland in with England is a false representation of the figures.

A link to the data is HereIt's scary really that more than one in seven confirmed cases is resulting in death. I think the problem is we're not doing enough testing, and cases are only confirmed when people are already very sick. Look at Germany in comparisation.

Tories’ ‘world beating’ test and trace system has been exposed as being really crap. Still, as long as the Tory donors running these outsourced contracts are making a few bob, who are we to complain about the continuing bloodbath.

Looking forward to the “eat out to help out” scheme, il be eating out every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for the next month. Lovely stuff! The problem is that while the government are subsidising the likes of McDonalds and Wetherspoons (while at the same time blaming us for being too fat), small bars, clubs and other venues are shutting down. On a personal note, I really fear for small music venues, which are the lifeblood of an exciting British music scene at the moment.

Plus the investigation by Vice which has found that 30% (21 in total) of the corporations currently accessing emergency tax-payer funds from the government have paid out an estimated total of £11.5 billion in dividends to shareholders and investors whilst laying off hundreds of staff. Socialism for the super rich. “Trickle down” for the rest of us.

I'm not super rich but I do have a few shares and any dividend helps my pension is that wrong then, if my money wasn't invested in a few shares it would be in the Building Society earning next to nothing or is that wrong as well and should I send my money to the Socialist pot for everyone to have a nibble

The very, very, very rich men took public money that was to help their companies continue through the pandemic and used it to give to themselves and their very, very, very rich friends, whilst telling the much, much, much less very rich people who work for their companies that they can no longer work for their companies anymore.
Hope that is easier to understand.

Which is an American publication. Canadian / American, but let’s not split hairs. If you want a truthful assessment of current affairs probably best not to use the U.K. media

I think a lot of Brits would do well to read more foreign media. They think we're mad in most of Europe, and the likes of Brexit and Boris Johnson are reported on with a similar level of incredulity to how we discuss America and Trump.

If you want a truthful assessment of current affairs probably best not to use the U.K. media"Print media in the UK is the least trusted out of all European countries. In an annual survey of 33 countries (EU states as well as acceding and candidate countries), the UK comes last, a position it has held for 9 of the 10 years the survey has been conducted." A vote by Europe on European newspapers with a similar outcome to Eurovision how surprising, but probably correct as the British press is shite and doesn't really care if it prints the truth or not.

I think it is time to start listening to them rather than just assume we're right and everyone else is wrong.

I think the study actually asks people in those countries about their own media. That's what I infer from this article about the 2017 study anyway.
Playing devil's advocate though, that does raise the question of whether the UK media is actually the most distrustful, or whether Brits are just more sceptical and aware of media misinformation than other countries are. North Koreans trust their media, but it doesn't mean it's trustworthy!

I think we have inspired a lot of individuals across Europe to leave however politicians will not give them the opportunity to have their say as our Politicians did with us
