in your work do you ever delegate responsibility, I know I did because when I was running 10 million pound construction projects it was impossible to see everything so certain sections were passed on to others and cock ups became their responsibility. Not obsessing about any body just saying everybody has a responsibility, Bet you were a delight to work for. Bit rich coming from you. I seem to recall you describing agency workers you encounter in your esteemed capacity as a manager as 'dead head'. You don't suspect them of being Tory voters too do you fella?

They’ve spent £12 BILLION of our money on Test and Trace, with their benefactor pals handed fortunes in contracts to run it and now it’s falling apart because they were using Excel spreadsheets.

You don't suspect them of being Tory voters too do you fella? Fortunately I had no responsibility for their supervision and by the looks of what was going on on site I don’t think anybody else did. Clearly my choice of words wasn’t the best but unlike upsidedown I’m not holding them entirely responsible for the test and trace fiasco. As for their politics, couldn’t see that any of them were wearing Pringle sweaters, bri-nylon action slacks or shitty shoes so uncertain that any of them were Tory voters, fella.

Straight from the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s mouth, reported on ITV News HereAh I read it as the test and trace app/system. But that figure is the whole shebang, since the pandemic started, and it most likely includes a budget which is not yet actually spent. Very impactful for the hate articles though, I must admit

Source Anywhere you look, unless you choose not to. The reason all those thousands of cases have been missed is because Microsoft Excel maxes out at 1,048,576 rows by 16,384 columns. £12 BILLION siphoned into the private profiteers pockets well spent wouldn’t you say?

Is it so difficult to find more than one person who holds that view?

.... this country has the most corrupt government in living memory.....
I thought that was the last government. Or was it the Cameron years? Or the Blair years? Or the Major years? And I doubt if you would extol the Thatcher years either! If Corbyn had won things would have turned out....pretty much exactly the same. Politicians make speeches; the real power is elsewhere.

No, this is the most corrupt government this country has ever seen, certainly in living memory. A little investigation of how they are awarding contracts worth £billions with zero transparency will tell you everything you need to know. To get away with it they are reliant on a compliant media and the laziness and cynicism of people like yourself. As for things being exactly the same under Corbyn, you are very wrong, which is why a political assassination was carried out on him, the like of which had never been seen in this country.

Is it just me that finds all this Trump stuff very odd?
He's in his 70s, is probably obese and tested positive for Covid last Friday. He's now out of hospital, not wearing a mask and seemingly not self-isolating, and telling Americans not to live their lives in fear of the virus.
It doesn't seem that different to what Lukashenko did in Belarus, where he claimed he'd had the virus and got over it, and everyone else should do the same. All very strange I think, especially weeks away from the election.

There's a frightening theory going round that he will refuse to accept the result if he loses, and has appointed enough people in the right places to mount a legal challenge on the result, which is why he keep perpetuating this myth about postal ballots facilitating electoral fraud. This could and probably should lead to civil war.
I agree he's not right in the head. He's basically lived a whole life of being a spoilt and difficult child. But he is backed by some very clever and powerful strategists.

It’s being reported by Sky News and Private Eye magazine that the government is employing 1,114 consultants from Deloitte to work on our failed Test and Trace. Private Eye reveal that Deloitte usually charge £1,450 per hour per partner and fees for even the lowliest intern doing the photocopying is £290 per hour. No wonder they have spunked £12billion of taxpayers’ money on a system not fit for purpose. Like I said before, follow the money, as this isn’t a public health exercise, it is money-laundering on a massive scale by this cabal of criminals. Also, it’s entirely coincidental that Deloitte are major donors to the Tory Party. Absolutely disgusting but I’m sure the usual suspects will be along to defend it all.

Worst week on record for Track and Trace - just 68.6% of people who came into contact with somebody who later tested positive we’re reached. The lowest percentage since the system started.
Yesterday was also the day of the highest number of new daily cases recorded since the pandemic began - 17,540 over the previous 24 hours.
Also 77 new deaths within 28 days of a positive test - highest since June 1st - and 3,044 Covid-19 hospital inpatients - highest since June 22nd.
Meanwhile competent and non-corrupt administrations such as New Zealand have kept the total deaths for the year down in the 20s.

I accept you can't directly compare the UK and New Zealand, but still, one has had 25 deaths, the other over 42,000. Probably fair to say we can learn from the two countries' different appraoches.

Just saying small country easy to handle over populated country full of people who don't care not easy to handle. It's running wild everywhere not just here A generalisation to say people don’t care. What about “Eat Out To Help Out?” - it appears the government are now laying the blame at everybody who took up their own advice and ate out to prioritise the economy over peoples lives.
