I would imagine optional, but I can't see anyone being allowed to fly (when we are able to) unless you have been vaccinated. Hopefully by March enough people will have been vaccinated to enable restrictions to be lowered. We might even get to a live match!!! It's a no brainer really. If people want to start going to pubs, clubs and Matches just have the vaccine. Too many conspiracy theories going around too much nonsense. I have heard many stupid stories to avoid having the jab. One is 'it's been developed far too quickly it takes years to develop a vaccine not months' well in time of great need technology, medicine and weapons get invented and go through a quantum leap in development. I also think that if people have the vaccine they should be given proof of it, sort of like a passport to enable access to places. IF you do not have such passport then you cannot leave the country and cannot go to pubs ect. I know some will say ''oh my human rights'' ''oh my civil liberties'' but if we are to beat thing then as many people as possible need to have it Spot on!! I'm pretty sure employers will insist their workers be vaccinated as well.

Wonder if the rest of the world are going to call this variant the “BRITAIN VIRUS” as certain people did to China.
Probably not, because they’re better than us.

I do worry about the number of people who have got silly anti-vaccine ideas in their head. Look at the Facebook comments on any Cheshire Live story about vaccines. It's frightening!
If you genuinely think you have an informed reason to go against scientific consensus, you're wasting your time spouting it on Facebook! Research it and write a paper on it. Scientists actually welcome that sort of thing.
Otherwise, shut up and get the jab. At least then if it all goes wrong, it won't be your fault.

The populace have a right to be wary considering the virus is barely a year old. Vaccines do traditionally take years to develop after studying the virus properly. How can you roll out a vaccine for a virus that not even scientists know about in depth yet? It's bizarre. Don't be naive to think that the big pharmaceutical companies don't know that there is huge money to be made here. Scientists do have a differing view to the mainstream narrative but they get shut down and that's worrying. Debate over this is non existent, it's either the states/big corporations way or no way at all. That is what is frightening.

Would a mainstream television channel host a debate between scientists of differing opinions on the aspects of lockdown/vaccines?
If the answer is no, would that not worry you? Or are you happy to just along with what you're being told?
I'd love to see a debate but like I said, we're living in the real world and other opinions do get shut down.
It is frightening.

Personally wouldn’t want anyone refusing a vaccine anywhere near my dads care home. If someone doesn’t want to protest themselves fair enough but they shouldn’t be allowed to endanger others.

That is your choice but let I remind you that viruses die out eventually, pandemics come and go. Was the entire populace vaccinated during the Asian Flu pandemic during the 50s/60s? You know the answer and the world moved on without a mandatory vaccine.

Hey Bob save it for when you’re knocking on people’s doors trying to sell the Watchtower. Like I said given the choice of waiting for the virus to die out naturally or having the vaccine I know which one I’m going for. I'm not knocking you for that, you're entitled to the vaccination, I encourage you to have it if it puts your mind at ease. My message here is my opposition to mandatory vaccinations and restrictions to people who haven't had them. That is all. I agree with you regarding mandatory vaccinations. If someone doesn’t want a vaccination fair enough but I’m sure they’d have to kiss goodbye to foreign travel and entering care homes.

Unfortunately that's where the slippery slope starts, by small restrictions. My prediction within the next couple of years is that in order to have a job then you will have to be vaccinated. Which is what a poster gleefully suggested earlier. Once the precedent has been set, then there is no telling how far the state will go. We will see anyway.

Otherwise you're welcoming totalitarianism. Indeed, the virus is less than 12 months old and it’s already killed 70,000 in this country and will unfortunately kill many more given the stats coming from NHS Trusts. We therefore desperately needed a silver bullet and we’ve got it thankfully. This silver bullet will prevent many more unnecessary deaths and there needs to be a mass roll out as soon as possible.

The covid vaccination isn't mandatory or compulsory, so your argument is theoretical

I for one will be taking the vaccine when it's available. You have to trust the science don't you.

No it will be called the "German Virus" as the Germans have only just released the information that they've just found out (Ha Ha) they had a person who died of this variant in early November. I'm surprised you didn't know this Frank as you're usually up to date with all the news........oh wait this doesn't fit in with you agenda does it.

I see we are getting the cheapest, least effective (£3 per dose, 62-90% effective) vaccine compared to the USA (£25, 95%), Germany (£15, 95%) and Russia (£7.50, 92%).
Also, looks like the Government are rushing things through to restart the economy and risk the vaccine failing - by offering millions of people a single first dose followed by a second dose “within three months.”
However Pfizer/BioNTech have said their vaccine is not designed to be used in two shots 12 weeks apart and both they and Oxford/AstraZeneca have said there is no evidence that the first shot works beyond three WEEKS.
Always profits over people’s lives with this mob. Right from the start.
