Seen enough to know pal, I’ve come home from working in the hospital with the largest number of Covid inpatients and ICU inpatients in the North West, which is also the most successful trust in the region in administering the vaccine.
Tomorrow and Sunday my wife, who has worked all week on a ward, will be doing bank shifts as a floorwalker going from ward to ward with an iPad and a phone so patients can see and hear their loved ones.
I’ll take no advice from a crackpot tin hat conspiracy theorist such as yourself.

I havent seen any evidence that hospitals are overwhelmed. Have you? I've seen queues of ambulances outside of hospitals. I've seen the reports of overwhelmed hospitals. I've heard the doctors, nurses and frontline workers telling us they are overwhelmed. I know that ICU beds are full in hospitals across the country. Personally speaking, that's good enough for me. Maybe you'd prefer it if Paul Golding and Jayda Fransen were allowed to go bouncing around hospitals breaching Covid regulations so they can film people being incubated or dying? |

Rather than this go down the route of all other DC threads and end in a slanging match I thought it would be worthwhile given the news tonight to open a thread for people to talk, share isolation ideas, worries, etc especially if you are on your own during this extremely dark period in time. I thought this forum was supposed to be an upgrade on the failed DC1, but the moderating from that individual is compatible to Devon Blue or Canadian Exile (this is probably the most offensive post I've written in a long while!)
Hopefully the thread can stay on topic for a change

I see reports of a possible tightening of restrictions over the next few days. Not sure where things can go beyond closing some retail completely rather than allowing click and collect? Unless we want to go down the route of needing permits to leave the house to restrict peoples movements.
