You literally said ‘all better off by being at home’ about 10 posts ago. did I? Can't find that comment anywhere. All that's happened here is standard Ian H Block. He misinterpreted what people were saying, disagreed with whatever he'd interpreted, assumed he's morally above everyone else and then started lecturing. It was a perfectly reasonable discussion before his classic intervention.

1.4 million people were deemed not eligible for furlough and if you’re on minimum wage, 80% pay is basically f**k all. very true .but what about people who were on guaranteed full wages who worked from home you know teachers council workers hospital admin workers too many to mentional all better off by being at home .apparantly there is 7 billion savings waiting to be spent ‘all better off by being at home’.

If you in normal times went for a pint, the cinema, football match holiday out for a meal and other such things and you are not financially better off during lock down when you can not do these things then you must be doing something wrong. Can only speak for myself but more time spent at home, especially during the school holidays with three kids, meant more spent on household food and toiletries shops, heating and electricity bills went up - nightmare home schooling and working from home (especially as my job involves extensive phone usage with a hearing loss and a poor mobile signal at home). Hardly the life of Riley rolling in it.

The complete absence of grammatical structure really stymies your coherence.

Not proven anything, mate, I spoke from my own experience of working from home which was nowhere near the life of Riley Upsanddowns thinks it was. I know his sort, the sort that reckons those furloughed working from home were just lazing around in front of Jeremy Kyle playing Foxy Bingo or drinking White Lightning and spending 80% of their wages on scratch cards - he’s said it often enough on this forum.

You remain considerably confused by the looks! We were talking about savings etc in relation to working from home and you suddenly became affronted that nobody had mentioned musculoskeletal problems and exercise (as important as they nevertheless are). Is there anything else unrelated that we've not mentioned while we're at it?

I can’t be held accountable for the fact that upsidedown can’t construct a grammatically correct sentence. He stated that everybody is better off working from home. Apparently (and I’m still only guessing I’m interpreting it correctly) he meant purely financially. In addition to this being impossible to prove, the absence of any punctuation meant that that unless you were a tiny-mind reader you would never know he was talking in purely fiscal terms. Quite rightly I made the point that emotionally, physically and mentally a lot of home workers are not ‘better off’, but apparently these are nebulous concepts to hard of thinking Tory dullards who can only conceptualise ideas in terms of pounds, shillings and pence.

I'm quite surprised - pleasantly so, I suppose - at how much fuss these allegations are creating. He supposedly made dodgy use of funds and made mean comments - no shit! I thought everyone knew he was like this by now, and either resented him for it or didn't care, happy that at least he's not Corbyn and he "got Brexit done". Who are these people who are surprised and disappointed in Boris Johnson, and what planet are they on? If it’s ever proven conclusively that he made the comment about piling up the bodies he’s history and rightly so, but the sad thing is that his Waterloo is much more likely to be an expenses scandal that anything else. The fact that the propoganda arm of government, the BBC, are finally now allowed to report on his true character and conduct tells me that somebody in a very powerful position obviously wants him gone.
