After what the players and managment have handled all this i dont wanna see not one comment if we don't go up saying 'The players and managers don't care' Bern and Jonno and the players are only thing that makes this club actually feel fan owned when was the last time we had this much communication and engagement with managers??
McCarthy would never haha

Isn't it best to stream and pay to view for fans to raise funds? Why would you want Sky to show the games? Thats assuming it can be achieved. I was just asking if we know of a way in which we can see the match, of course a pay-per-view to the club is the better option, but judging on what they said about donating a match ticket to help fund the Playoffs it doesn’t seem like they will be streaming it.... Evening... Honest answer is that we still haven't heard anything yet with regards to televising of our Play Offs..this will hopefully come in the next day or so to enable us to plan some kind of scenario around getting as many fans to see the game as possible. Thank you everyone for your support so far! Thanks, Jeff

Thanks, Jeff Am i right in thinking that even if BT don't cover it we can still stream it ? seem to remember the last game in march that the NLN and Nl played they allowed clubs to stream so fans who didnt wanna risk going could watch game? i recall watching BPA v Curzon on some stream infact? assume this be case for play offs if BT dont cover?

If they do live stream it and charge for it, surely they should split the profit from any live streaming with the away team. Especially when you take into consideration that we're being expected to pay half of the cost of putting on the match?

I think it could be wise for Alty to agree for us to endorse it as THE place to live stream the match. The uptake from our side would be more than Alty, which would mean going halves with us would be more profitable than just offering it to their own fanbase.

Altrincham - 'For our first ever competitive fixture In July, and the first one behind closed doors. We don’t know yet whether the game will be on Saturday 18th July or Sunday 19th July, nor whether BT Sport will televise it or not. We are not even sure if the game will be played at The J. Davidson, awaiting clarification from Trafford Council.'

www.altrinchamfc.com/news/help-our-play-off-promotion-bidThat’s due to the fact if you have a home fixture the whole area around the stadium has to be secure. I think they are having to get a differing safety certificate from the local council to divert the traffic for a few hours for the game with their ground being on a fairly main road. It stops anyone attempting to get near to the stadiums for these behind closed doors games.

I am more than happy to donate to the fund for the playoffs but it will be slightly bizarre for both sets of fans not to experience the game. The venue makes no great difference for the players. A neutral ground with good TV facility and live stream as either 1 or 2 streams would be good. Clubs fans pay for their individual feed to their club. Or one feed but you pay to the club you support when signing up. I really cant see why Sky or BT would be interested.

Home advantage doesn't count for anything so it makes sense to play on the best pitch and ground, which is ours.

I think clubs will find it difficult to stream themselves too, as having the equipment do this will be costly, and also assume BT still own the rights to stream games at NL / NLN level, can see them wanting to perhaps just post the highlights from the games to their Youtube that have been recorded rather than send any of their crews their to film live. A real shame. Also believe that the FA Cup semis will be the weekend of these play-offs? Fantastic scheduling as ever from the powers that be.

Imagine the gloom on here and the knock on effect on fundraising, season tickets etc if we were the only team not taking part. Yes, they are ahead of us on training but home advantage has been nullified. We were on a pretty poor run anyway so the long break might do us good. I'm not expecting anything but just glad we are having a go. Its absolutely the right decision whatever happens (although I'm obviously hoping it won't be another 8-1)

Take a look at the websites and message boards of the other teams involved and see how flat and matter of fact they are. Something special is happening at our club, it’s never been easy being a Chester fan but no club takes as many punches and just keeps getting back up. Let’s f@cking do this!!!!!!!

All this optimism is worrying me We re probably being seen as the underdogs by most having lost our main striker, keeper issues, and latter preparation. But I can't help being a bit opimistic. I also feel like there's something special happening here. But win or lose as you say, just enjoy the ride.

I agree with the majority view on here - I'll be very proud of the club and the players whatever happens, even if we get thrashed 6-0 by a better prepared unit in the first game. There are definitely bigger things than a few footy results to think about just atm.
I think the members of the Board have handled all the recent difficulties very well, and made sound judgement calls at the right times, whilst keeping us all as informed as we're allowed to be in the various circumstances (after a slow start, imho), and the fund raising initiatives have been great.
I look forward to the day we can applaud the players onto the pitch once again, regardless of the result(s). You are all definitely 'fit to wear the shirt', and should probably as a group be inducted into the Legends group at some future date when we can enjoy it.
But if you could stuff Alty, demolish York and trounce Boston or Brackley too that would be nice, obviously..!

What do we call them if they get promoted 😂 At some stage it would be a nice gesture to get a board up next to the Blues Bar (where the existing loan notes board is) with the names of everyone who has foregone wages to make this possible. Players, coaching staff etc. Some will no doubt be leaving the club, whatever happens, so I think some sort of lasting tribute would be appropriate

17/18 days and we still don’t even know what day we’re playing. Really is a joke. or where Statement issued earlier today - The National League can confirm the 2019/20 Vanarama National League Promotion Final will take place at Wembley Stadium. The match is set to take place on Sunday 2nd August at 3pm, and is the ninth consecutive Promotion Final to be held at the national stadium. Due to the current Government sporting guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Final will be behind closed doors. BT Sport will broadcast each of the five play-off games in the Vanarama National League.
Chief Executive Michael Tattersall said: “The Vanarama National League Promotion Final is the most highly anticipated dates in our calendar. “We are immensely proud to be staging our showpiece Promotion Final at the world’s most iconic football stadium once again. “I would like to thank Wembley Stadium and the Premier League for their support in making this happen”. Details of the schedule for the play-offs across the three National League divisions will be released at the earliest opportunity.
