BT are unlikely to show North or South games That’s probably actually better for us and Alty if we are able to stream the game ourselves. As BT Sport literally give nothing to both sides for National league games. Hopefully we will be able to sort out a stream

Statement issued earlier today - The National League can confirm the 2019/20 Vanarama National League Promotion Final will take place at Wembley Stadium. The match is set to take place on Sunday 2nd August at 3pm, and is the ninth consecutive Promotion Final to be held at the national stadium. Due to the current Government sporting guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Final will be behind closed doors. BT Sport will broadcast each of the five play-off games in the Vanarama National League.
Chief Executive Michael Tattersall said: “The Vanarama National League Promotion Final is the most highly anticipated dates in our calendar. “We are immensely proud to be staging our showpiece Promotion Final at the world’s most iconic football stadium once again. “I would like to thank Wembley Stadium and the Premier League for their support in making this happen”. Details of the schedule for the play-offs across the three National League divisions will be released at the earliest opportunity. So is that just the national league then ? what about the north and the south?

You’re not.
They’ve always televised the NLP playoffs, have never televised an NLN or NLS match (regular or playoffs).

If we can get it sorted we would potentially make more money live streaming than getting a small fee from BT. I don't know about the technology issues or licensing but we could easily sell 1000 - 2000 at a tenner a go. I'd pay for it. Worst case scenario get Rio in there with his phone

As BT Sport literally give nothing to both sides for National league games. Hopefully we will be able to sort out a stream Home and away side go halves on set up costs, away side endorse it as the place to watch, split profits in half. Saves costs by having just the home club streaming and reduces the people in the ground. This should be the solution, should BT Sport not stream.

So is that just the national league then ? what about the north and the south? That’s how I read it National league only hope I’m wrong. So it makes you wonder where the final will be held ? it makes my blood boil and I can't wait to get out this bloody league. Not only have transfers been allowed to happen before any decision was made about the play offs and how the season would end but we really are still in the dark. I am really confused by all this ? it is ok to lose your best striker but you can't bring any players in that was not registered before the shut down ? what a total mess. Confused I am ?

I see Altrincham have raised £6,000 on their crowdfunding site against our £9k+. Also they are saying that the Covid tests are £70 per player and even include a video of the tests taking place. They are seeking match sponsorship which in all fairness should be deducted from their costs of staging the match so that we only pay 50% of the NET costs.

Theyve done well to pull in 6k since Wednesday night on top of the 30k they raised last month. It seems Alty TV are Ready to go in terms of streaming the game should BT not show it. But that is dependent on BT relaxing the rights. They’ve all the equipment and multiple cameras for it to be streamed with commentary on YouTube, but it’s ultimately down to BT. It will be broadcast on radio robins either way if the worst comes to worst. But hopefully they can stream it if the BT say no

If Chester are expected to pick up half the costs of staging the match surely we should receive half of any income it generates regarding charging for live streaming, sponsorship, etc...

If Alty do get Permission from BT to stream the game themselves, this should be made a condition.

Net costs split 50/50. Presume Profits would have been split if crowd allowed in? I wouldn't pay for streaming if all cash went to Alty.

If they choose to stream live on YouTube, my understanding is that they have little control over who watches anyway as long as you subscribe, so would have to rely on the honesty of fans to buy a virtual ticket. I would just donate my match fee to our club.

BT would be silly not to at least stream the games given that the majority of each leagues fans in the North/South will watch the games with all fans being at home..

In a a normal year you could understand why it's not worthwhile for BT to stream our playoffs. But this year the NLN alone has the potential to attract 25k viewers plus over the 5 games IMO. Maybe that's just chicken feed to them

Live streaming....any sales could be set up to the 2 fan bases, so we would benefit the most. The league would need to make a decision. My son has used live streaming for political events using Youtube platform, but for an event like this would require more. That was a one camera set up. This would be 3 and live mixing desk. Commentary as well. My son was talking of investing in it recently. Am seeing him later so will ask him!

There’s a few troubling aspects about the National League playoffs:
The FA still hasn’t ratified the National League’s PPG Resolution
No firm decision has been communicated on whether Step 2 is ‘elite sport’
Games begin in 2 weeks but fixtures haven’t been published
