No news on this as yet. Was hoping he may be in the squad tonight. He posted on Twitter asking does his dog look like a Seal.

Take it the Taylor money (also the money saved on wages) will be banked to get us through the season then. Needs must.

It’s a good question to be fair.

All it says is hes offered... doesn't mean we can't afford to pay him... Yes, the quote from Jonno is ambiguous. Would be good to have clarification on the financial situation, including what if anything is happening re the independent review of the bail out money. Maybe we're relying on a cup run? Otherwise I don't see how our revenue stream is going to pick up. Can't be making much on a few hundred fans and can only see more problems post Xmas

Let him prove his worth first imo

I'd imagine will see a squad shake up before the weeks end to free up some wage room, I'd speculate Gary Roberts will be heading somewhere local to free up a wage.
Edit: Just heard he's probably off to Warrington.

Maybe they intend using the 6 figure fee that's coming soon for Goodwin!

Cheers for the update, I had no idea that was case, makes sense in terms of budgeting and makes some posters "wage thief" comments from a few weeks ago even more ridiculous. Good luck to him and hope he gets more game time there. Won't forget the Alfreton Hat trick, FC United away and Southport goals anytime soon.

Really made up with the addition of Josh Askew. He deserves huge respect for offering to play for free which must be an extremely difficult decision to make under these circumstances, but it’s obvious that Josh has a close affinity with our managers and cares deeply about our club in order to make that offer. Not only that, but he’s received plenty of praise from when he played for Salford City and Curzon Ashton, while a few Boston United supporters are disappointed they didn’t see more of him. At the end of the day there’s no reason for them to get wound up about it as these situations happen all the time with non-contracted players, which is why I’m really pleased we tied Declan Weeks down on a longer contract. Hence, if Boston really rated him so much then they should’ve just simply offered Josh an actual contract instead. Anyway, I am hopeful that Josh will turn out to be a great replacement for Joel Taylor, as he has plenty of experience at this level at such a young age, while it also enables Simon Grand to play in his more natural position. Really can’t wait to watch him in a blue shirt very soon and I’m excited to see what the future holds, however long he is here for. Welcome to Chester FC Josh 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️!

Johnny Hunt has joined Prestatyn Town, who also signed Dale Jennings the other week. What a massive waste of talent. Where have Prestatyn suddenly got money from? Now the Gibraltar dream is over STEPHEN Vaughan Jr. has laughed off claims he is involved in the new investment at Prestatyn Town FC. The former Bangor City manager and chairman told The Journal that he has “absolutely nothing to do” with the ownership change at the club, despite rumours circulating to the contrary. Merseyside-based investor Jamie Welsh took over from Neal Colakoglu earlier this month and has already held discussions with manager Neil Gibson and the club’s loyal fanbase about what direction he wants the club to go in next season and beyond. He wasted no time in restructuring matters behind the scenes, which saw Leigh Williams and Mike Mainwaring returning to the set-up. Vaughan Jr. is currently working on a new project with Boca Gibraltar after VSM Management sold the Citizens’ to Domenico Serafino, and he is “fully concentrating” on this. He said: “The investment at Prestatyn Town has absolutely nothing to do with me or any of my associates. “We have our project in Gibraltar to concentrate on and that’s it.” Prestatyn Town were denied promotion to the JD Cymru Premier despite winning the title in comfortable fashion. This was down to their failure to secure a Tier 1 Domestic Licence from the Football Association of Wales despite securing a ground share late in proceedings. Welsh has already set out his ambitions to “get the club back where it belongs”, and the situation regarding their TV gantry is expected to be fully resolved by the time licencing applications open for 2021/22. Vaughan Jr. enjoyed a turbulent spell at Bangor that saw them go from second place in the top-flight to facing the prospect of third-tier football before their 42-point deduction was quashed on appeal. The MO is there. Older scouse pros, Merseyside based investors, managerial unrest. Would appear the club killers are back.

Was it Prestatyn Town who our short-lived and poorly thought out general manager Stephen Jones was associated with?

Well that's some uncomfortable reading there. If it sounds dodgy it probably is, and Sandwich Vendor Jr saying that neither himself or any of his pals are investing means absolutely nothing

Pleased we’ve brought in an extra defender to hopefully shore our backline up, as we have shipped a lot of goals in lately. I don’t know loads about Connor but he’s received positive reviews from his spell at Ashton United, so hopefully he will fare well in his tenure here. It looks like he’ll only be here for a month for now, so it’s important we get the most out of him just in case he extends his stay here further down the line. Connor is unable to play in the FA Trophy tomorrow afternoon, but I’m still looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table after that. Welcome to Chester FC Connor 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️!

See Ched Evans left Sunderland Bring him home Do you mean Fleetwood? cos that's where he's been for the last two years after leaving Sheff Utd. The first 12 months on loan, the 2nd year as a permanent signing. He's never played for Sunderland as far as I know? The fact they have sacked him for repeated disciplinary issues doesn't bode well.
